TOPIC: Alchemists girth surgery

Alchemists girth surgery 10 years 11 months ago #1280578900

Hi guys.

Yesterday I had surgery with Dr Solomon. It included Circumcision, full wrap of dermal matrix and pubic lipo.

At the moment I\'m wrapped up in bandages so can\'t see or show you the results.

Pain isn\'t too bad, fairly mild when taking Percocet regularly.

If you have any questions please fire away. Otherwise I will keep you posted on my recovery and results later.

My starting stats were 4.8\" EG and 5\" El

Good luck with your healing.

Pain tends only to be a problem at night when you get erections.

I\'m really interested to see how things work out as I do like the fact Dr Solomon can insert the grafts via the scrtoum.

Three weeks post op and back in the uk. I had circ, full wrap Girth and public lipo.

There was some tissue that became a bit infected so I\'m on antibiotics.

I\'m more worried about the circ incision healing than the shaft.

The pics vary from the day of the op to two weeks post op.

Will upload more every 2-4 weeks. I think it\'s important to see just how gross it can look while healing is ongoing. And how the end result materialises. Whatever that will be.

I will take measurements at the 3 months post op date as they should be a good indication.

The healing process can be tough mentally. The pain is never that bad other than night time erections. But it\'s a real mental roller coaster, especially if you have some set backs like infection etc.

Looks like you had a little bit of Necrosis on the shaft. I had the same at the top, just below my circ scar. In the end a nurse cut the dead skin of with scissors and it surprisingly didn\'t hurt!

Do you have any medical supervision in London or are just doing it via photos to Dr S?

Good luck with the rest of your recovery. The other guy who had the same graft as you updated today and so far his is looking really good with a big gain.

Yeah my GP has seen it and knows about the procedure. I\'ve been referred to a Urologist for a check up as this kind of surgery is out of the GPs sphere of expertise.

I\'m still in correspondence with Dr S, but I\'m sure you know what it\'s like, you just want to know if what\'s happening is normal or your penis is about to fall off

I think you should go to the Urologist today or even send some photos. It\'s just always better to be safe than sorry with these things. I\'m sure if there was a problem your GP would have picked up on it, but just in case let a Urologist take a look asap.

When I had PLGA Scaffolds I got a bit worried about the healing and went to a Urologist in London. It turned out that I didn\'t have an infection, but it was worth it as it really eased my mind, knowing an expert was looking at it in the flesh, rather than me corresponding with my surgeon via email.

Thanks for your advice hoddle. My GP referred me on an urgent basis, so I just need to wait to get a letter back. With everyone being on holiday I\'m eager to here more from Dr S and to see the Urologist as he can have a close inspection that isn\'t possible for Dr S via photos. I had a swab done and it came back clean so no infection. It looks gross but is just the healing process.

By the way I started a blog, which will have photos, measurements and general thoughts and feelings. I\'m hoping that whatever the outcome, it will help inform others about their own choices.

Don\'t wait for a letter, pay to go private. Go to David Ralph or Suk Minhas in Harley Street. Email their clinics and explain the situation so they can see you asap. You\'ve had a bit of Necrosis by the looks of things. Looking at the photos on your blog, it seems like things will be okay, as the dead tissue has fallen off and there is no infection. But it\'s better to be safe than sorry. The hole in the middle will probably heal on it\'s own, but it might need some stitches.

To be honest I don\'t think it\'s just the healing process, as chunk of skin shouldn\'t fall of mid shaft. There have obviously been some blood supply issues and that can be from maybe having so many procedures at once or even a tight bandage.

Do you have a better photo of the hole area? It\'s hard to tell from the photo. Take close ups of that area and the incision line and email them to the urologists.

Dr S has asked for me to return to Philly for more surgery. I\'m booked for 14th Jan. I don\'t think anything is getting worse, but I\'m seriously worried about what I\'m going to end up with. The skin on the shaft that is damaged isn\'t just damaged, I think it\'s a hole right through to the graft underneath so it\'s surely got to be sutured closed. My GP thought it needed debridement but I doubt she realised that it might be the actual ADM which is collagen so may look like fibrous tissue laid down in healing.

I\'m sure a Harley street surgeon would offer to tidy things up but it would probably cost much more than the '2k to go back to Philly and I don\'t want to risk someone who doesn\'t know me or what was done. I was told there was a 5% chance of needing to go back for more work before the op. Just never expected it to actually happen.

Women are lucky. Breast implants are easy compared to this.

Mr Ralph in Harley street has plenty of experiences with dermal matrix grafts. I really think a second opinion would be a good idea. As I said previously, in my opinion, this isn\'t a simple case of the healing process taking a while.

It\'s definitely a hole on the shaft. I\'ve seen them before from these surgeries. In fact 2 of our members here have posted photos. It\'s really not that rare unfortunately.

I don\'t understand why Dr Solomon said you didn\'t have Necrosis. That tissue is dead, has fallen off and isn\'t coming back. I\'m no Dr, but I really don\'t understand how he doesn\'t think it was necrotic! It turned black, fell off and left a hole!

The 5% chance of needing to return just doesn\'t add up to me. We\'ve got 5 Solomon patients here and you are the 3rd that has needed further surgery. If you look at our members that have had allografts of any sort, by any Dr, at least 40% have needed correction of some kind. Dr Alter is a brilliant Dr and he just doesn\'t do Girth surgeries anymore as he just doesn\'t want to have to try and deal with all the complications.

You are so right about women and breast implants.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I hope he gets back to you. It seems a long way to go back to the US for debridement surgery.
