Avoid fillers in the penis unless the Dr performing the procedures has the skill to use a micro cannula.

That doctor did 3 HA procedures on me and i am still really happy with the result. He has his own surgical practice as well as through a couple of clinics. Thats fairly standard \'consultant\' business model. He knows what he\'s doing in my ecperience and having talkied with him at length.
Having said that, sticking a bit of HA in a penis is a lot easier, more accurate and more controllable than fat transfer. I tend to prefer a proper surgeon who knows the anatomy well, what\'s going on under the skin etc, over a non surgically trained injector. Although an injector with years of experience, that i would be happy with too if i am honest. I think experience of the specific procedure and material being used is the key criterion for me.
For sure injecting HA on an Erect penis is also a significant improvement aesthetic wise.
I\'ve had one procedure done with the cannula and neither me nor the Dr were that happy with it. Its just less accurate, more invasive and i didnt much like the \'rooting around\' under the skin with it. It was a bit like trying to ice a cake using a hose pipe...
I asked him to switch back to the needle half way through. But if someone without proper surgical training was wanting to stick needles in repeatedly, without knowledge of what and where to avoid, then i wouldn\'t be keen on that at all.

@number22
Let\'s take an analogy. Having worked on 1,000 carburator cars before has no bearing on the methods of working on a microprocessor controlled injector cars.

The practitioner has to update his knowledge on the \"new\" material he is using, practice to steady his hands and the minute movements needed in depositing the filler under the skin. Experience with FFT, etc. are no longer necessary ...

\"The clinic promoting surgery on BBC television in the UK is Moorgate, not Androfill. There is no common ownership or control between these two firms. (Moorgate Clinic has nothing to do with Androfill. Doctors performing the Androfill HA procedure (including the Penoplasty surgeon who appeared on the BBC), are free to provide surgery to any other clinic that they wish to. No patient has been sold surgery by Androfill to date. Androfill site aims to dissuade people from taking unnecessary surgery, steering them towards safer and more effective non-surgical options.\"

Sorry for incorrectly suggesting your clinic Androfill is affiliated with Moorgate.
Don\'t get me wrong I think it\'s brilliant that you offer HA, I just think that it\'s a little off putting that the doctor you use performs unethical procedures in other clinics. Which leads you to beleive he doesn\'t care about the welfare of his patients or that he genulinly believes fat injection is a good technique which suggests he isn\'t a very intelligent doctor.

@jogift: nicely put. revising best practice is agreed valid. my perhaps not so well put point was the implication that this meant Androfill\'s claims of doing HA for years was an exageration.

i will reign it in a bit because i\'m not so sure now, maybe i got that wrong. im just used to cosmetic doctors lying their ass off about patient numbers.

what do you mean about exoerience no longer matters though?

@Androfill
Thanks so much for this clarification, otherwise it was quite upsetting.

@number22
The whole world of technology and medicine is experimenting with new materials, procedures, etc. Experience no longer matters. It\'s quite commendable when practitioners (technicians etc.) update themselves in the modern best practices and make the necessary effort to perfect the techniques available to them.

[can i ask you how long you have been performing HA?]

Surgeons have 2 years experience.

Caverject (Erect) is a good idea, borrowed from Dr O.

It is interesting to see that men can self-inject Caverject into their penis at home without supervision - with a needle the same size as Juvederm supplied 27G.

Needle is preferred over the cannula, when there is a good reason to change we will.

In communication with Dr O. outside the forum. The goal is the same, to advance the procedure and promote it as a replacement for more invasive surgery.

the Androfill website sells lig cuts right off the bat. - We offer it, then dissuade anyone from taking it. No one has taken any surgical option. This is the most effective way of reaching prospective surgery patients.

anyway, nice to see you back Androfill. can i ask you how long you have been performing HA? i have heard that you have said it\'s a long time but on the other hand and very suddenly you have about-turned your entire procedure in line with current PhalloBoards thinking. why have you suddenly changed to Erect/cannulla for HA in the penis when you have been doing it succesfully via flacid/needle for ages? can i suggest that you are in fact new to this and haven\'t been doing it for ages but were kind of winging it to start with and have now decided best practice is in fact Erect/cannullae And that you read this on PhalloBoards via hoddle10 and dr. Oates? and that since you are new to this you havent done many needle/Flaccid procedures anyway so it\'s not really a big about-turn.

i think it\'s great that you have changed your procedure completely to suit best practice but on the other hand why say that you have been doing HA for ages when it\'s in fact only recently that you have been doing it? if you have been doing it for ages why is it only recently that someone allowed you to film their procedure for the website?

i\'ll get down off my high horse now. woah there, neddy!

smalljay wrote: Dexter, if you haven\'t heard of this long term inflammatory response effect, you need to search the boards for \'FBG\' or Foreign Body Granuloma - it is a known (albeit somewhat rare) occurence with PMMA.

That is the one counter argument to the last two sentences of hoddle\'s post - we haven\'t seen the long term effects of PMMA in the penis yet. A lot of guys might get bad reactions, but also they might not. From the research so far, it appears that a small percentage (low single digits) might - but if Dr. C\'s theory that injecting it below the outer fascia results in less/no FBG\'s is true, then that\'s a good thing.

We do at least know that fat in the penis long term is a bad idea, ineffective at best, dangerous at worst. imo, PMMA is also not that great, and something better will come along (maybe it\'s already here, in HA). But that\'s just my spoiled 2011+ view of things - for people like the old vets here, PMMA was kind of a godsend - never has there been something like it which could give you permanent gains with so few short term drawbacks (assuming things go well during aftercare).

I took a read of the FBG issue, I focussed more on the literature from sites like pub med and so forth.

Interesting for sure but risk wise, we\'re talking less than 1 in 1000 and of those 1, these seem to be linked to people with existing conditions such as HIV, chronic renal fatigue or similar.

What\'s also interesting is, in a number of the cases, there\'s no guarantee that it was even PMMA injected.

I think , it\'s an issue to certainly aware of but I suspect on the list of things to worry about, of which there are many , it\'s way lower than other concerns.

We\'re on COMPLETELY the same page Reklaw, I think it\'s a shitty , pointless procedure.

I just focussed on the one big issue for me , that is, even if everything else goes fine (big IF), you\'re still faced with nothing but a very expensive , very temporary solution.

I really feel hugely sorry for these folks and after this dam program, I bet he has a waiting list full.

Reklaw wrote: \"It really made me wonder what the people on this board are like! It\'s odd seeing how out of whack some guys priorities are\" Are you referring to the fact that they were already a good size and that all they cared about was being \"huge\" or having a \"monster\" Cos if so I agree, if i had an average Girth I would never of persued Phalloplasty. Or were you referring to the fact that there partner already seemed happy with their Girth? because if I had a partner who was happy with my penis I wouldn\'t touch it. Also it absolutely blows my mind that in 1st world countries like ours their still offering such backwards techniques, by now all these doctors should have switched to PMMA or HA. Their fucking useless, it\'s unreal that a bunch enthusiasts like us know more about what works than all these urologists who have PhD\'s.

I suspect the medical doctors don\'t have PhD\'s, they have a MD (or version thereof). PhD is a Doctorate of Philosophy - which Educators typically have.

I think smalljay is in the heart of things. PMMA was a godsend at the time and now maybe, something better (HA) has turned up. From what I\'ve read so far, even without considering the long-term risks, it was not a godsend. Androfill\'s (hypocritical) website and others in the medical field are beginning to attest to this. The attention seems to be moving towards perfecting the skills of HA. Those using the older methods are those reluctant to give up what they believe that they have become experts in and for the still ignorant clientele. This is clear, as Reklaw pointed out, that Androfill could have such a website recommending what it has but carrying out the procedures brought out at the start of this thread.
