It\'s Day 3. (Semi-Edited version - I\'m tired)
Last night Dr. C, Wade, Christian, and Mel all stayed later just to fill the void that was found. I am really glad I stayed for the recommended length of time. Today, I felt the
PMMA for the first time at the site of the void. This is the first time that I can say I really felt it. The whole time, I was wondering if there was really anything in there... It just felt like swelling. It still feels soft, like there is nothing in there - about the same if I had been pumping (vacuum pump) for about 15 minutes. I am curious if others have experienced this as well...
Yesterday when Wade examined me, he could not believe how well I was healing with no bruising, no ballooned out circ scar, and minor swelling. He mentioned a couple times how great it looked to the Doc. So here are my thoughts...
I don\'t have experience with this but given Wade\'s reaction and feedback, after-care is incredibly important. From all of my injuries, background in fitness health, and the surgeries that I have elected and not elected for... swelling is bad. The faster you get the swelling under control, the faster you can heal. I could probably cite some studies or use some reference material right now... but I only slept an hour and don\'t feel up to the challenge. Last night, after they put more filler in me, I swelled up again, as expected. So I iced, massaged a little, and put some pressure on to keep the edema at bay. I used the Arnica gel on it everyday and I also took Arnica internally (as I did with my other elective procedures) for 5 days leading up to, and continuing, today - which I just ran out. I took a picture (posted) the moment I got home from the airport to document my day three.
Also... I have done quite a few different things trying to figure out what works best for me. Personally, I thought the roller was a good idea and read about others, before me, using it. I discussed with Wade about why they recommended this process and then told him what I had done... especially since he was interested in my healing results with no [current] hint of lumps, bumps, or clumps. Now, I mention this because I haven\'t seen it used before... doesn\'t mean it hasn\'t... just, I haven\'t seen it. Wade had one concern that I totally agreed with... I used a $4.00 jar grabber that Jelquing salespeople are modifying and selling for $100. I didn\'t want that big roller but small diameter ones... like the ones already on it! So I smoothed out the metal and used the plastic rollers to roll the filler smooth and uniform from both sides of the penis at the same time and with equal pressure. I have contemplated the void, but there just wasn\'t enough product in that spot and if anything made it happen, I believe it could have been the big roller (it just flattens too much out at a time with no uniform way of getting all around the penis). So... the concern was \"What if while trying to remove a high spot on one side, you create a dent on the other?\" I told Wade that was a good point... I guess you just can\'t be stupid enough to do that! I\'ll include a picture of the jar tool.
The other thing that I\'m doing is to never let it \"turtle up\". Wade said I hang pretty well (I have to use his words because I wouldn\'t really know any better) but I still keep it elongated all the time so that no filler can bunch up.
I am still pretty sore around the base... I brought this up last night; neither Wade or the doc knew exactly why but Wade gave possible cause: The ligaments have become inflamed from the process and the foreign body around them. That does make sense. He also thinks that is why a lot of guys lose some length for the first month as well.
The oozing has finally subsided to just looking like the entry point is wet... Dr. C went through that same entry point last night too!
I sure hope that 30% kicks in... Maybe it\'s because there is not too much swelling... but it still looks small to me! (I\'m not measuring until a month out - no point).
