My experience with the Penuma implant and then removal 4 years 3 months ago #1308698859

Hi guys... relatively new. But I've had the elist implant for around 15-16 months. Scheduled for Removal with dr. Solomon. I'm hoping to find someone who had it as long as I have and removed. The implant has the ends right under head sticking out and looks like it will bust through skin. I wanted it out the next day... then less than 2 months.... then around months..... and 9 months.... then virus shut it down. Each Time I listened to elist about keeping it. I was thinking "since I can always get my penis back wait a little longer wont hurt" but I found this forum by way of 2.0. And man..... I am fearful of what's to come after Removal. I'm hoping someone that's had it as long as I have (15-16 months) and then removed has had success in at least getting their original length back.
Before elist =6.5 EL by 5 EG
After elist= 6 EL by 6.5 EG
Also maybe some tips please.

So sorry about your horrible experience. I was planning to get Penuma, but, after reading all the horror stories, I decided not to have the procedure. I hope that you could find the right MD in your region to help you. I would avoid dealing with Dr. Elist....

I got my implant removed by Dr. Elist on 7/20/2020 (2 and half weeks ago). I've gathered some pretty good data that should help other people in this forum also interested in removing their implant. So here it goes:

I am the last person to want to toot Dr. Elist's Horn but I have to be honest. As disappointed as I was with HAVING the implant, Dr. Elist did a great job in removing it, contrary to the experiences others had.

First my incision line was sutured together much cleaner (than when I had the implant surgery), and the drain site was also sutured with less of a blood stain this time.

Second, I have absolutely no pain after 2 weeks and can massage and stretch my penis in any which way without feeling sore spots (For reference I had the implant for exactly 11 months)

Now... I don't know exactly if Dr. Elist really did leave the mesh and the suture anchors as everyone mentions, however, so far it has not been a concern. He prescribed me accolate (which is originally a asthma medication but supposedly doubles as a scar tissue prevention medicine). Whatever it is, its expensive, but I think it's working (need more time to conclude this)

My first Erection after the surgery was a full 2 inches shorter than my pre-implant Erect length (I mentioned this concern to @breakingbad a few weeks ago).. So far, I've gained an Inch and half after another week or so. So I'm still 0.5 inches shorter than my normal length but the progress is encouraging.

What people in this forum always neglect to mention or do not have the proper knowledge in is the fact that Dr. Elist Sutures a layer in the base of your penis during the implant procedure/implant Removal procedure to prevent the incision line from tearing open during an Erection. These Sutures are what causes the retraction of the Erection (making it significantly shorter), but eventually DISSOLVES. Once it dissolves your Erection should go back to normal length. This dissolving period takes shorter or longer periods depending on the individual. For myself, it took about a month when I got the implant for my Erection to go back to normal length. Same thing, I assume, for the post-implant penis

So far, I'm pretty encouraged with the post-implant progress and hope that once the Sutures dissolve I can get my full Erect length back!

In conclusion,

Removing this implant was the best decision of my life. I might even go as far as to say paying 17k plus (I also got the Circumcision) was almost worth it because it allowed me to truly appreciate my natural penis. I can now live my life without having to continuously press in my protrusion, tuck my penis to one side, or fear wearing briefs because they were super uncomfortable with the implant.

Hope this helps guys! I will post a 1 month post-Removal progress update to further help those who are on the road to recovery.

FYI

considering most of the veterans who had their implant removed +3 months have not updated since, I'm assuming they are enjoying their normal penis lives to the point they no longer need to vent on this forum anymore. This is an encouraging sign but hopefully I can be the one who updates beyond that point to really help those who have unanswered questions out!

Man.... you kinda have me wanting to go with Elist fir Removal (way cheaper) but I already deposited half for Solomon to remove. Still would be cheaper with Elist even with deposited funds though. You regained length pretty fast. What all did you do?

Um, if this was poorly installed it should be removed at no cost. He's clearly okay with putting this absurdity inside of you, not sure I could find myself trusting him again if I were in the same shoes. Wanna know something more absurd? The stuff he sells at a high price to aid in Removal-recovery is made at the same address as his Clinic... he literally profits on the failure of his own device.

And this isn't even a matter of Sponsors or bias with Dr. Solomon --> you can see Dr. Gelman or Dr. Alter (Non-Sponsors) for that matter, they too have a lot of experience cleaning up Dr. Elist's "handiwork."

The assumption is simply untrue. Some of them stopped posting due to depression stemming from the botched implant. Some of them did post well after 3 months with no positive changes. The one thing that I can say to remain optimistic is that many of those who stuck to a stretching regimen eventually went on to regain some or all of their length back.

Dr. Elist shouldn't be charging for Removal if the initial result was poorly implanted and/or resulted in complication(s). For something that's supposed to be "one-time" and "permanent," he sure does double his profits. Let's just hope you weren't like our member "Mustang2020" where Dr. Elist removed the implant in a regular doctor's office setting and not a surgical room. This is madness.

Yeah, wait a while for the capsular contraction. Elist normally doesn't take the capsule, mesh, or anchors out. Stretching is far more painful than before the implant.

Mjb could I ask you when those capsular contractions occur? I'm almost 3 weeks post surgery and have yet to experience issues with that. Kinda worried based off what you're saying

I can't see why anyone wouldn't religiously go on the stretching routine if they want their normal penis back.. I work 12 hours a day but still find about 2-3 hours I can stretch and massage my penis before I sleep and so far it has worked out. Almost already back to my normal Erection length (about .25 inches shorter now);

If he left the capsule during the Removal, which he almost always does, it happens over time. It's not immediate. It's eventual. 4-6 weeks it starts. That's a guesstimate at least.

What are you using for stretching? Manual? Device?

Looks like Johndeere and I are having a similar experience in recovery. I'm about .25 inches away from my original penis length and have gained about .25 in Girth. I'm now about 6 months post Removal and feeling great. Stretching does still hurt at the base occasionally but nothing crazy. My penis does also still get a little sore after sex but also nothing that's too difficult to deal with. I've pretty much just used manual stretching to get back my length. Used a pump early on but have stopped using it. It's a tough road but if u dedicate enough time to it you can get your old penis back or at least close.

Breakingbad, Dr. Elist and staff actually stated that with consistent stretching your penis can actually look as big (Flaccid) or even bigger than when you had the implant in. I was absolutely shocked when they told me this and thought it was bogus. But 3 weeks in my Flaccid length and Girth are significantly bigger than my non implant penis from before. It's obviously because it got stretched when the implant was in but do you think this is sustainable and after 6 months do you really have a big Flaccid size??

What are some things you've done towards your gains. I'm 3 days from Removal..... funny thing is I can get erections with no pain. I'll measure myself when I make it home. But since I have no pain (a little soreness on the sides of the base/pubic area but I mean.. I'm a few days away from surgery) I do light manual stretching.

So yes I'm 6 months post Removal and I would say my Flaccid length and Girth are definitely a bit bigger than my pre implant penis. Not much but it is noticeable. I do manual stretching like 3 to 4 times a week and try to add in some Clamping every now and then for Girth. I'm pretty content with my current size being close to original penis but still at least trying to get back and maybe a little more. Also feel no pain at all which is good. The only negative has really been the fact that incision scar is so red and hard but hopefully with time that will go down.
