TOPIC: Elist Penile Implant-My partner and I's experience

This post is only about my experience with the Elist Penile implant so far. I will write about the good and the bad aspects of the implant. Yes, I know that it\'s a risk doing this surgery, but I have already done the surgery.

Actually I got the testicular implants with Dr. Elist in December of last year 2015 (I wrote a post on this board about it a few months ago). I am quite happy with the XL size and decided to go ahead with the penile implant. My partner also really liked the testicular implant and wanted it for himself and since I was going to be out of commission for 6-8 weeks, we both decided to get the penile implant at the same time.

So having gone through surgery once in December, I am sitting now in July recovering again.

My partner and I flew into LA on July 4th which was Independence Day and met up with Dr Elist in the morning for consultation, blood work and then surgery in the afternoon. My partner went first and his surgery took a little under two hours, then it was my turn. The surgery center nurses were quite nice and I chatted with the one that was looking after me. She said that Dr. Elist does 3-4 surgeries a day. Of course, not all penile implants, but Circumcision also, variocele, etc. Then it was my turn, the anesthesiologist was a male one, last time it was a female one, and once the anesthetic was applied I zonked out and woke up an hour later or so. Both my partner and I were sitting in the same room in aftercare. Then we were given a ride back to the hotel by Uber.

From the date of the surgery, we had to stay three nights in LA before flying home. The worst part of the healing in those days was that I could barely stand for a long time and walking was very slow. Then there was the issue of the drain and the bulb which had to be emptied every few hours. Basically it was like pouring blood out into the drain. I also had difficulty peeing sitting down so I basically peed in the shower standing up. The first few days pee goes everywhere like a hose. It doesn\'t go in one direction like before. Every day we would go to Dr. Elist\'s office where we were examined for progress. We actually never saw Dr. Elist after surgery and it was left up to the other two doctors for aftercare. Taking antibiotics wasn\'t fun because it really makes your stomach stuffed up so we ate a lot of salad. The Doctor put on a sort of a sock on the penile implant after the day of surgery. It\'s called Tubigrip Tubular Size A which you can order from Amazon. Basically 3/4 of the shaft is covered and the base is left uncovered. Then on the third day, Friday, we finally had the drain removed and was stitched up. We got on the flight home that night. Going through security, went through the scanners and no one mentioned anything. We passed security just fine.

Basically the last two weeks we\'ve been spending most of our time sleeping, eating, taking it easy. It\'s best to sleep on your back. The worse part is the erections in the morning. I haven\'t masturbated since the surgery which is a major pain. I\'m used to cumming 2-3 times a day so this has been the most frustrating part. My partner\'s testicular implant healed up really quickly and I cut and removed his stitches 10 days after surgery. He did the same for me in December, so it was my turn to do the same for him. The first two weeks it\'s been hard to stand up for a very long time or even sit on a chair because of the mild pain. I didn\'t really use the painkillers and actually stopped with painkillers that were prescribed \"tramadol\" after the second day. I would say by the 12-13th day that I was beginning to walk normal again. My friends asked me what\'s wrong with my leg, and I would say I had a groin injury.

Both my partner and I seem to be healing at a similar rate, though I have more bruising than him. He is 50 and I am 38.

I will post updates as the recovery goes and some photos. Unfortunately like all surgeries, the initial look with swelling bruising and bloody isn\'t fun to look at.

Day 1 post surgery. You can see the drain tube attached to the bulb I had to drain out excess fluid. Then the photos day 4 after surgery. The drain is removed and you can see the tape covering incision line.

How much scarring do you think that incision is going to leave?
Have you been able to get a measurement for Erect length?
Does the implant feel natural to the touch? For example, if your lover touched your penis, would they think something is strange?

I don\'t know how much scarring it will leave behind. The stitches that are dissolvable have mostly dissolved now (19 days post surgery). I still have one bow tie on the left that I think I will cut off tonight. The right side, my family doctor pulled out and cut off for me when he removed the drain tube stitches. Those stitches had to be professional removed and I don\'t live in LA. Today was the first day where I wasn\'t up every 20 minutes because of Erection pain. I think I got up twice this morning so it is lessening now. My partner says the Erection pain isn\'t as bad for him though he still feels it too. The inner Foreskin of my penis as is his is still a little swollen. The underside of the inner Foreskin and part of the shaft is slightly swollen too. Though the swelling is nothing like it was initially the first week post surgery. I haven\'t measured full Erect length yet though I have my suspicions that I might have lost a Inch. I will measure when I feel more comfortable holding an election and measuring tape. Dr Elist\'s office says that i will lose Erection length the first six months then the scar will loosen and I should start gaining Erection length back. I was a good 6\" long before. My partner is the lucky one, he was about 5-5.5 length before surgery at full Erection and now he is at 6 inches flacid. Though it always feels like you\'re not in a Flaccid state with his implant. The penile implant is like having an Erection 24/7. Yes, the implant feels like an Erect penis, but it never goes soft. So if your sexual partner was only touching you and then having sex with you then they won\'t notice but they will notice that you don\'t get soft.

I haven\'t had the opportunity to masturbate, nor has my partner. Ugh!! This is the hard part of the surgery. It is hard not trying to jerk off.

Flacid (if you could call it that because the Elist implant makes your penis feel like it\'s in an Erect state) 5 inches, circumference shaft is 6 inches though at the base of my penis it\'s more like 6 3/4 inches. I think when I am Erect and when I feel the base it\'ll probably be more like 7 inches. I just haven\'t had a tape measure nearby when I am Erect in the morning nor do I feel like measuring it with the mild pain now. It is getting better slowly day by day. These photos are day 19 post surgery.

I am sure you are aware of the implications of this silicon implant. I am sure you had thought about this implant and being gay and if the implant will prevent you from having sex with your partner like before. The reason I mention this is because I tried to have anal sex with a young lady when I had the elist implant is it hurt me and her like hell. The implant is stitched at the glans area, any pressure in that area caused severe pain in my case and I am certain it will you both too. Needless to say, I was not able to insert more than the glans in her behind and then it hit the beginning of the silicon implant and it stopped dead. The pain was very severe in my case and the lady felt huge pain because of the difference of hardness between the natural glan and the silicon implant just after it.

I hope this will not happen to either of you, so please keep up posted.

It still amazes me that this elist person still can\'t make a straight incision after hundreds of ops. He just does not give a dam about the look of this huge scar....

I am glad though that either of you had no infection. Most of his past patients had moderate to severe infection due elist lack of medical hygiene...

As a gay man, I have been in both positions as both a top and bottom. To be honest, if I could take a 8 Inch long penis and thick, the same should be for a woman. Once a person relaxes, sex should be enjoyable. I actually like a thicker penis fucking rather than a thinner penis since a thicker penis seems to fill me better. A thinner penis feels like a poking motion.

So far I haven\'t been able to have sex with my partner though I am looking forward to it. I am planning on using condoms for the first few months to prevent infection. I also have a little bit of the antibiotics leftover just in case I need to take the antibiotics. My doctor is also a gay Doctor and he was the one who removed the stitches from the drain tube. I showed him the implant and he was quite impressed by the size.

Three weeks after surgery and I am feeling much better. I can touch the base of my penis and the shaft though the inner Foreskin is still somewhat swollen and is sensitive to touch.

Time will tell how this penile implant will heal. I am hoping for the best and that the silicon implant is permanent. With regards to the testicular implant, there have been no problems except for that they still sit a little high. I plan on stretching my scrotum with a stretcher. But all in all, the scrotum has naturally stretched over time.

Here is me at 3 weeks post surgery. It\'s starting to look a lot more normal. Though I am sure I have a long ways to go to heal still. I used the public urinal today and some guy was checking me out. It was actually a good feeling. I was much more confident!

The dissolvable stitches have now dissolved. I think they began disappearing around day 16. Around day 19-20, I stopped having Erection pain and waking up in the morning. Now I can get a good night sleep and not keep on waking up every 20 minutes in the morning which was rather annoying.
