After speaking again with my liason, he said that they didn\'t think I\'m at risk for perforation. He did say that the top priority was for the lesions to heal by exposing the skin to the air, which is the logic behind ceasing wrapping. I\'m to keep the penis unwrapped for up to 3 weeks in order to ensure the skin heals. Hopefully, without the wrapping the nocturnal erections will be less destructive to my skin. The liason is expecting the lesions to heal anywhere from a few days to a week.

@bostonmanHope this is only a minor blip in your recovery phase, and any Elist patient(s) should chime in if they are familiar with the lesion issue.
Keep us up-to-date if you are comfortable that, that\'s one of many reasons why we\'re here... a Patient Support Group after all.
@Elist PatientsSpeaking of which, if you are a former Elist implant patient, please please please update the Patient Directory Thread found in this forum... it would be a super valuable resource to those who have already undergone the procedure and those who are contemplating the procedure. Thanks!

Thanks SO. This forum is invaluable in terms of the moral support as well as the shared knowledge. Although I was a bit anxious yesterday as to the implications of the lesions, I\'m feeling more calm today as the lesions seem to be drying up. I\'m extremely grateful for everybody\'s support!.

Hi Bostonman I may have had a similar issue'About 2 weeks into my recuperation, I started to have lesions under the glans of my penis. This was due to the edges of the implant pressing against the delicate skin during my nocturnal erections'I was advised by Dr. Elist to put olive oil on the skin make it more 'flexible', so that it might be able to stretch to accommodate my new Girth'This helped greatly'.
Again, I\'m not sure exactly what your issue is...and if it seems to be getting better, it may be best to leave well enough alone...
If I were you, I would be speaking to the doctor directly about this issue and not 'a 'liason If you have any issues please feel free to PM me'

Agreed with MM, speak to the Dr directly or you will \"most likely\" be getting poor advice.

Thanks for the advice! Per Mustang\'s advice, I spoke directly with the doctor. He advised that I not put olive oil on the skin while there are lesions that need to heal. He said the olive oil would better serve the skin after it has healed. I also asked him about the region of the shaft just beneath the glans, which seemed to be a bit puffy. He said that this region contained the mesh, and it was puffy because there was no wrap to contain it. With the appropriate amount of time wrapped, this area should be more contained. He theorized that the lesions were a herpes outbreak, which I rejected due to the lack of distinct sensation that accompanies a herpes outbreak (I would know, being a herpes veteran of 10 years). He felt that I was in good shape with the lesions improving, and to stick with the instructions administered through the liaison.

Bostonman,Good to hear things are looking more positive for you. I\'ll also have to agree with Mustang and MM, Future conversations should be with the Dr. I\'m not sure who the liaison is, I was not introduced to anyone new and my contact was directed to the Doc. if there were any concerns. You can usually get the Dr. on his cell or he will call you back. My stats were 5.5 to 6 inches Erect, 4.5 Girth and Flaccid was small, I was a true Grower. I remember the first few weeks last year and the tightness of my skin. It was scalely the first week and also shiny at times due to thinning of the skin from being stretched. Things do improve quickly and consistently but is hard on the nerves early on.If you have any questions I'm here for you.ck

Thanks so much CK. It\'s very comforting to hear that my frayed nerves are not an uncommon phenomenon. At this point, my lesions have improved drastically. They have dried up, and new skin is regenerating. There is a degree of swelling in the mesh area below the glans. I\'m to continue with antibiotics to ensure no infections, and allow nature to take its course with the swelling. Today was officially 2 weeks with the implant. By this coming Monday, I will have gone 1 week unwrapped. I might have to delay wrapping for up to 3 weeks total. The swelling makes walking uncomfortable, but otherwise I\'m tolerating everything OK. Erections are less painful, and I\'m on Advil PM every night.

Asthetically-speaking, I\'ve attempted to measure erections and am incredibly pleased with the Girth gain. I seem to measure about 6 inches of Girth at the base and around 5.75 inches at the shaft. Since the area above the shaft/beneath the glans is swollen, I haven\'t bothered measuring it. Lengthwise, my erections are not full capacity with the swelling,, so my measurement of 5 inches is unlikely to be that accurate. My wife seems to enjoy looking at it, and tells me it\'s the thickest Dick she\'s seen (which stokes my ego to no end)! I am dreaming of her reaction upon entering her for the first time with my new Dick (given our daughter\'s impending birth, that won\'t happen until Christmas). CK, was your wife\'s reaction everything you dreamed it would be?

I am a little concerned about the no wrapping for three weeks. Of course I understand your situation. It is a catch 22. Ask the Dr if you can wrap a few hrs a day? I think that the implant moving around on the penile shaft while not wrapped will cause irritations and swelling and may impede the capsule formation. May be try to wrap it loosely for a few hrs then take it off for another few and then when fully healed, wrap 24/7 for months. I know that wrapping is essential for final successful outcome...Good luck!

Thanks Mustang! As of tonight, the swelling seems to be slightly improving and the lesions are closing up with regenerating skin. I asked the liason about potential issues with the capsule forming minus wrapping for several more weeks, and he said that wrapping it for a sufficient amount of time will still mold everything normally even if delayed. I\'m supposed to keep the penis free of wrapping for at least two more weeks if not sooner (should the swelling disappear entirely along with my lesions).

As of today, I\'ve finally resumed wrapping after a 3-week hiatus due to concerns over skin lesions. At the doctor\'s request, I\'ve slathered the shaft with neosporin so as to prevent the mostly-healed lesions from fusing to the wrap. Things have been mostly status quo. There is still some light swelling going on at the top of the shaft on the right side, which seems to go away and come back periodically. I\'m continuing with antibiotics until I finish the bottle. The incision site (above the base of the penis in the direction of my lower abdomen) seems to be slowly descending toward the base of my shaft, which is a good indication of skin that\'s stretching.

Measurements:
Flaccid: I appear to be around 5 inches lengthwise and 5.5 inches girthwise. Erect: there seems to be a bit of retraction going on as it falls between 4.5-5 inches lengthwise (pre-op was around 5.5 inches) and 6-6.25 inches girthwise. I\'m not sweating the retraction too much thanks to the previous reports of retraction on this forum. Hopefully, my normal length will return following wrapping and more complete skin stretching. It\'s my intent to \"milk\" it as the doctor has suggested following the mandatory wrapping period in order to maximize my length. Does anybody with the implant have any suggestions for milking tips in order to gain more length?

Dr. Elist instructed you to just \"milk it\"? Is that similar to the manual jelq? I am concerned regarding Dr. Elist\'s direction towards postoperative physiotherapy/rehabilitation.

Hey Boston, Can you tell me how you like the look? Also, can you really tell it is there, is the edges protruding over the top near the glans? And would feel comfortable if a women was to hold it if she didnt know? Thanks

To answer your questions:
1. I like the look, except for a droopy glans when Flaccid. I\'m hoping that improves with time. The Erect look is great except for the 1 Inch retraction that I\'m hoping will come back with more stretched skin.
2. The edges seem to be smoothed with wrapping. Because my wrapping was delayed for 3 weeks, I could see the edges for awhile below the glans. With the wrapping, this seems to be improving.
3. At this point, a girl would definitely know something was unnatural because of the edges. Hopefully, when the capsule is formed the edges will be padded and that will no longer be the case!
