Cases I've seen where Dermal Grafts failed was due to poor vascularization, often due to over stacking sheets of the matrix in hopes of achieving maximum Girth. This also happened when Doctors would over-inject fat into the penis. It takes time for Dermal Grafts or fat to vascularize & integrate into the surrounding tissue, so if there is too much of it, some of it will inevitably fail, giving the appearance of dissolving/breaking down.

Those who have learned from these errors know better (like Dr. Liu and Dr. Solomon), and realize that there is a cap on how much of the graft can be implanted in order to achieve success & permanence. This is why Dr. Liu offers injecting filler (like Fat or PMMA) if the patient desires more Girth, because he knows over stacking Surgimend will only cause it to fail. This is why newer generation of dermal graft surgeries have been more successful, especially by Doctors who understand the nuances of what does and doesn't work.

How old is this thread?

I don’t see any dates on my end so I’m not sure if it’s a 7-year or 7-months old thread? Somewhat frustrating actually..
(using iPhone)
I’d like to know the latest update, specifically if the “feel” is natural on somewhat natural when both Flaccid and Erect?

Also, if your wife wasn’t part of the picture (let’s say you’re a single guy) - would a new girlfriend have noticed you had a procedure done? Specifically when it comes to the feel…

Seems like women have “penile radars” and can sense things before they actually see them..

Are you using mobile or PC? The last post before yours was 3 days ago. The info are listed above each post.

I do notice it isn't as obvious on mobile, I'll look to correct that.

iPhone.

Haven’t used a laptop or a desktop for at least 10 years. I travel for a living so I don’t like to drag unnecessary things with me..

I can see the last comment’s time frame (so “posted 2 days ago”) but nothing about the previous posts.. so is someone replying to a 7 year old thread or to someone who just had his procedure done? Hope I’m making sense here..
When it comes to surgeries and procedures the elapsed time really matters if one wants to gets the feel for a procedure being successful or not..
So dates for all posts would’ve been helpful.

Thank you for your super quick replies. That’s really great!

I started the post and had the procedure done about six months ago. If my wife was not in the picture, I do not think another woman would notice.

Skiman - Thank you very much, your blog is very helpful to those of us who’re evaluating our options.

So based on the research I’ve done so far only two US based doctors perform this type of Girth enhancement - Dr. Liu (your doctor) and Dr. Solomon.
I’ve read all I can think of about them and the two doctors seem very capable and both have great reviews.
Would it be ok to ask why you ended up selecting Dr. Liu?
Of course, in my case an additional factor is that I’m looking at a Revision of a prior FFT..
Mine was in the late 90s. I realize procedures have greatly improved since but had they had the procedure you had back then I believe I’d have chosen it over FFT.
..Water under the bridge..

I know that Dr. Solomon performs revisions of prior FFT surgeries. Not sure if Dr. Liu does as well?

Either way, thank you again for your detailed posts.. Find them very helpful.

Hey, how have you been
I have been busy a lot lately. I am 3 months out and my shift is still somewhat extra feel weird from the procedure. My Foreskin is easier to pull back now. Last month, it was still hard to pull back and Dr. Liu almost had to to come back for a Circumcision. Like you said, the Girth goes down a bit compared to how it was 1 and 2 months post surgery. Maybe the swollen is going down more and more and that is how we lost a bit Girth. My incision site is still very thick and I had to remove those stitches myself as I went to several local urgent care and hospital and they all said they only remove stiches from other surgeons if it was a simple cut but the procedure we got actually considered serious procedure to them and nobody will touch a work from another surgeons. Weird but the ER nurse did give me a stitches removing kit and instruct me how to pull it out at home. The length does not look much different to me when it is hard. Maybe a couple more months when the scar gets smaller the length will get longer? Idk I haven't followed up with the office for more than 5 weeks already. Idk how to restart the conversion like I'm sorry I feel like I don't need to talk and discuss and send my penis pictures on a daily/weekly basis? Lol

123abc,

I chose Dr. Liu for two reasons. First, I wanted a cosmetic surgeon with experience in Phalloplasty to perform my enhancement, regardless of which method I ended up going with, and second because I live in the SF Bay Area which is where Dr. Liu is located. I went the Surgimend route because I wanted “one and done”.

lnpleaeu,

My incision site was thick for quite a while and I think definitely had an impact on my Erect length. It has gotten better (still not completely gone yet), and I am getting length back. When I really started noticing it getting better is when I started Hanging as that breaks up the scar tissue. I would suggest reaching out to Dr. Liu to get his guidance on what you can do to get rid of the scar tissue. Overall are you happy with your results?

Dr. Liu does do revisions. I asked this question for someone else when I saw him.

Skiman your journey has been pure gold in value for me! I was extremely happy to find your post as you are continuously keeping us updated. I will be going to Proud Urology in mid August. I will be using your style as a template as it was truly a masterpiece of information and very kind of you!

If it's a touchy subject for you please don't feel you have to answer my following question. I am just curious about your erect length (You started at 7 inches I believe) Where are you up to now in length ? And just going to throw this out there being as girthy as you are is most men's dream! Your beyond motion in the ocean category now haha, you need to get in and out of the dock with great care just to enter the ocean! That's my attempt to be witty! *wink* :))

I have not become a paid member yet, but as soon as I return from my trip to South Korea, I will follow your example..pay up for the subscription and do my show and tell! I have so much respect for you man.

BlaqMagnumXL,

I had an appointment with Dr. Liu last week and he is pleased with my progress. The Surgimend is still a bit stiff and he tells me that it can take up to a year for it to soften up. He could inject cortisone into it, but recommended waiting to see how things go on their own.

bicboyanaconda733,
Thanks for the kind words. And no subject is too touchy for this stuff. My length is coming back as the Surgimend softens. I haven't measured in a while, but I'm guessing I'm around 6 inches or so. Dr. Liu tells me that the Surgimend is what is preventing me from reaching my full length, but I will eventually get my full length back. At Dr. Liu's suggestion, I have been Hanging several+ times a week, and I do think that has been helping too.
