My first thought was maybe there\'s a blood flow issue. Is the glans cold? If you push it with your finger does it turn white and immediately turn back to the normal color?

The topicals & antibiotics you are using are all over the map, and they all assume infection when this looks like irritation, not infection - but I can\'t tell for sure. I would not use all of that stuff as it may be causing further irritation. The only thing you have not used is a steroid, which might be the answer - but don\'t take my word for it. I\'d see a wound care specialist or a Dermatologist who does not spend half his practice on botox and filler. A mild strength steroid could be helpful - or it could make things worse if the issue is not irritation. A derm might have a little better idea. If there\'s a bacterial infection, steroids are not obviously a good idea since it\'ll get worse.

Skintegrity hydrogel also facilitates healing of skin and is recommended by wound care specialists. It won\'t any bacteria but it helps the skin.

You\'ve had too much stuff put in the glans - from lipen-d to silicone, plus PMMA in the shaft - so it could be a biofilm on the foreign body (which is where they grow really) - but biofilms are notoriously resistant to treatment and a wound care specialist might be better at managing this than a Dermatologist, unless the Dermatologist has a focus on skin infections...so one at a university, not in the neighborhood (usually) since they\'ve all become cosmetic doctors in the past 10 years (I went through this when trying to find one for my issue).

I\'m really just guessing based on all the diagnostics I dealt with 2 years ago, but that\'s the best I can think of. I\'d put skintegrity on during the day a few times and steroid overnight.

I would look for a Dermatologist that specializes in male genital Dermatology. If there none listed/local contact a well known University Hospital they may have one I personally would do that first. It might be Balanitis or Lichen sclerosus if it is these they are treatable. Most diseases of male genitalia are common inflammatory skin diseases. I have a medical back ground but I am not Dermatologist. I will say this if they opt to use a steroid cream it can thin the skin and I am not sure if it would effect the silicone microdrops or not. So be honest with your Doctor. If it a biofilm I\'m sure it treatable it just may take some time. Most all skin disorders are treatable.

Are you cut or uncut? Either way if your skin hangs over your Cock I would roll it back if you can and wear loose breathable cotton underwear.

Whatever you do, lose the mentality that you are fucked! You most likely are not! It doesn\'t serve any purpose and will just up you anxiety level.

Sending Big Hugs and Love your way!

Smalljay, I\'m sorry. You\'re brave to be so composed on here.

I can\'t contribute anything other than that an infection from bacteria would react as you said, reduce to a limited few and then come back. The few that have the genes for resistance, probably already there and that would be concentrated, would survive and establish themselves.

I will be thinking of you and send love.

Can you make an appointment with a specialist and just say you don\'t have insurance - and you want to pay cash (and ask if they have a lower self-pay rate)? I have a PPO but sometimes those docs from my former issues were not in my network so that is how I tried things. If it is spreading like that, I\'d ignore my advice about steroids. Anyway, you\'d have to get them from a doc. The over the counter cortisone is not really effective.

This is Skintegrity, the product I was talking about. It is not expensive and shouldn\'t affect things negatively. It is over the counter. I don\'t think it will treat the root cause, if it is the Lipen-d or silicone, but you can at least get some relief of symptoms.

I agree. University/teaching hospital...most likely to find a specialist that can easily identify things local doctors just do not.

Damn. I hope everything turns out okay.

I know with M8, he mentioned his silicone reaction happened pretty shortly after the procedure. It sounds like yours was a while ago, so I'd hope you're okay on that front.

Wishing you the best, bud.

smalljay, man, i\'m thinking of you buddy. i\'ve read all your trials and tribulations and you\'ve definitely got what it takes to get through this. you\'ve been through some panics but this is one hell of a tester. you sound tough tbh, respect man.

what has dr c said? i notice that he\'s reversing away from the business and giving more time to a new doctor, probably this silicone scare has got him doing that. i know he put silicone into patients who didnt even ask for it. fucking crazy.

did you get your silicone in the glans?

mate you have to tell your doctors everything. that you don\'t is understandable, for sure. but take away the emotional temporary embarrasment and you\'ll realise that you have to tell them everything.

have you told each and every doc and culture-taker etc that you had silicone and other things too? you have to. theyre on your side. it\'ll help them help you better.

and it\'s definitely a sign of panicking that you stop and start your medicine courses. if you start them, you might as well finish them otherwise youre left with not knowing either way and back where you started.

and another thing: wheres hoddle when you need him? i dont know what drove him off the board but i suspect it was dubious bad-practice one way or another. ffs.

You have all of us pulling for you and all the micro-drop recipients biting their fingernails.

Thank you for keeping us in mind for updates through this, it must be hard to not just focus on yourself.
I hope venting to us helps in some way.. and I hope you know the info you pass along to us is invaluable.

Going into this I said to myself, what foreign implant works out for life with no issues? I still did it. 3 times.

I have my fingers crossed for all of us.

Dam man I\'m still rooting for you! Herpes usually runs a 2 week course itchy tingly sensation then swelling then like blister that erupts and scabs over. You may have to have a tissue skin culture done so a infectious disease doctor or Dermatologist can see whats going on. Get those cells under a microscope to see whats going on if it allergic reaction to the micro drops steroids may help I\'m not sure. My thoughts are with you Brother.

Have changed anything lately like soap, laundry detergent, shower gel sometimes it\'s something simple causing the reaction?

About Dr.Cho not wearing gloves!!! You as the patient or anyone has the right to verbally address that. Just say Doc you forgot to wash you hands and don\'t forget the gloves! I have worked in hospitals for 20 plus years any patient contact requires gloves to protect care giver and the patient.

Hi Smalljay,

Sorry to hear this is happening too you. I have ben so busy over the past couple of months I have been checking in too often. After doing too much to your best friend you are now doing everything right - seeing doctors and especially using the forum for its second best use (asking the community and getting some collective wisdom).

I agree with what cargo said last week a Dermatologist may be a good idea. They see all kinds of rashes all over the body. They can pick a lot just by looking and know how to investigate all kinds of options. An infectious diseases doctor is another good option to exclude or treat the worst problem being infection. Alternatively a doctor specialising in sexual medicine (idea world is a derm, but often family medicine with special interest and experience.)

Mustangs advice of doing everything else right is so important too.

I am sure this is frightening and traumatic. I am also sure that you will get to the bottom of it and get it cleared up. Just not a quickly as you would like i.e. 2 weeks ago. Keep your chin up and keep talking to someone and don\'t bottle it up. What you have done by posting is great, it is going to help other guys. looking forward to hearing some good news soon.

Jayson
