The only things we discussed were Kenalog, doing another full round of 10%, and the route we took. I didn\'t want another full round as I really don\'t want any more Girth. I feel like he mentioned an oral steroid of some sort...but the ativan was kicking in. I\'m going to see if simply using cortisone cream very sparsely on the remaining lumps could help.

On a side note, not having to stay in and massage my junk all day has allowed me to explore the area a bit. There\'s some pretty good restaurants a few blocks left of Avanti Derma. I\'m gonna go check out a little local wine bar for dinner tonight. Also fish tacos at the taco stand down the street towards the hill was AMAZING!

Wow - you got to TJ fast. Did they have any idea what the cause of this was? It sounded so strange to have it happen out of nowhere - a year post. Good luck w the recovery.

Ya, I emailed Avanti Derma the next morning and Diana got me in right away. I booked a flight with a travel credit and the Grand Tijuana Hotel was having a sale. I\'m on holidays right now so i had the time off already. Not exactly how I pictures spending my holiday time but having some street tacos and a few cervesas makes it feel a bit more vacation-like.

One more thing Dr C mentioned that I forgot about. He said because PMMA is constantly \"changing\" in our bodies differences in appearance and shape can occur. This sounded more like something to make me feel better. But it is very weird that these would so suddenly appear without any other signs or symptoms. My uneducated guess is that I was having too much sex ( with others and my hand ). Maybe the pulling back and forth on the Foreskin too much caused a reaction with the PMMA. Also could be that the nodules were always there but were hidden under tissue or collagen.

I don\'t know! This is the shit thats going through my head right now.

I am almost 24 hours post touch up and sleeve is still on. I can still feel the small bumps where the Kenalog injections were but can\'t really feel the ones along the center. Still no pain, very little swelling or bruising.

I\'m gonna go sit by the pool. Adios.

Did you get charged for this? I\'m not saying it should be free per se, but if I had a nose job and it went wrong, I\'d expect to pay for the cost of the medical facility to fix it, but not the Dr\'s time.

Wow I have to admire your mood in all this! I was sleep deprived from R1 & I had a freaky looking penis the first few days... all I did was sit in the hotel and watch netflix and eat granola bars...and massaged my penis. I\'m afraid of the food in TJ - I have had too many bad food issues while traveling - plus mixing w/ antibiotics which already upset my stomach...so...I did the granola bar diet. Have fun by the pool!

I thought what happened to you might have been this (and I still don\'t know what to make of that story - it seems to be described oddly - but the first commenter said that her problems started 1 year post)... but thankfully there was no swelling/granuloma issue.

I am confused about all the immune cell stuff w/ the face vs. penis - because I think Artefill is only meant to be injected deeply - on bone (though docs have done it all over). For example, when I had my temple area filled in With Radiesse, the needle went so far in I was scared it would hit my brain or practically. My doc said it has a much lower risk of lumps or \"other problems\" when it\'s injected deep. She says docs who put this under the eyes or in the lips are often asking for problems. Restylane is more appropriate for those areas...and it\'s not particulate. She said any particulate filler (that triggers a secondary response) has to be injected deeply.

Artefill is only FDA approved for the nasolabial folds.

I guess what I meant is if you know you have an over reactive immune system, PMMA is probably not a good idea. I am still doing a bit of reading, the problem is how do you know if you have an over reactive immune system? I think will all previous stories proves you can get nodules, lumps from PMMA anywhere on the body, just some of us are unlucky with our immune systems

@ Restoration - I was a basket case 2 days ago and right up until Dr C popped me an ativan. Since chatting with him and having the touch up I feel much better right now. Assuming Dr C is correct and this is just a weird side effect of the PMMA that isn\'t granulomas, then I will remain calm. Maybe it is granuloma but they are further below the surface of the skin so they don\'t protrude and look red as in some the the issues people have with facial PMMA injections. I really hope this is a one of type thing for me.

No - Dr C did not charge me for a full touch up. It was very reasonable.

I\'ve been googling my ass off trying to find someone in my area who specializes in this stuff but I\'m not having much luck. Any tips on what to search for? Or anyone happen to know of a Dr or Plastic surgeon in Vancouver who I could talk to?

Why don\'t you email Prof Lemperle? He knows more about PMMA than anyone and seems happy to respond to email inquiries.

What is your current situation? Did Dr C\'s treatment not help?

Your in luck. One of the guys involved in the Aretfil studies is based in Vancouver.

But Prof Lemperle should be your first port of call.

There\'s no change at all. When Flaccid it looks fine, but feels like there\'s a cob of corn under there . Still no pain or swelling but little bumps all over under the surface.
