Wow - Red that sucks...I hope it responds to further treatment. I have to say I am kinda nervous now...being the mild slut that I am (or had hoped to be with a bigger Dick). It\'s even easy to get from oral sex...and more common than most people realize. There\'s no good prophylaxis either cuz nobody will use a condom for oral...and the only antibiotic that works now is ceftriaxone which is an injection - not in tablet form (i assume you got the shot?). Plus a gram of zithromax. Cirpo and tetracylines are all ineffective...within the last 10 years. Scary stuff.

Beast, that\'s really interesting info - it is really great to have someone w/ your background here. I have muddled through papers on the biological side of this w/ limited understanding. What do you think of the discussion about anti-inflammatory reducing guys\' growth? I gained almost nothing from round 1 and a few other guys who took a lot of advil said the same. I took advil about 6-7 times. I thought it would be good to reduce the swelling so I could massage the lumps out, but on another thread, the discussion was that we may have put a damper on the inflammatory response that triggers growth. Also, Dr. C gives cortisone but Dr. N does not.

I was treated for Gono in Late April and I caught it right away. Gono symptoms were gone within a few days. I started getting inflamed joints and muscle aches about mid June and then the Nodule outbreak 7 days ago ( early July ). Dr Lemperle said this kind of reaction can occur within 3 months of systemic infection, which would coincide with when I had Gono.

Dr C thinks it is an inflammatory reaction and NOT granulomas. He says he has seen this reaction in the past and it has resolved on its own. The nodules are not getting worse and in fact I\'m reluctant to say that they might be a little less noticeable than even yesterday. Either that or my penis is slightly swollen preventing me from being able to feel the nodules.

My joints are still inflamed and I have pins and needles like sensation happening on my lower legs, neck and head.

Dr C wants me to wait for 3 weeks to see if there is any improvement. I feel pretty confident that this will work itself out and I\'m just going to try and chill out until that time.

There was another case on here where someone got scared and ended up having everything removed because of \"other\" symptoms. And turned out it was something else. Be patient and take Dr C\'s advice. This stuff might be somewhat rare to use in penis but has been used many other places with no issues. Obviously if it gets bad deal help, but don\'t rule out other possibilities.

I\'d love to see how DMSO would effect this. I\'ve always been hesitant to recommend this to guys with PMMA, however, recently one of our members contacting Dr C\'s office and was told he could use DMSO even though he\'s had PMMA.

My experience with DMSO really shocked me, as after a few weeks of use it really softened what had previously been very firm scar tissue which I\'d had for over a year. It is an anti-inflammatory, so it makes sense to me it could be of use.

That is quite an intriguing question. When I think of inflammatory response I think of infiltration of macrophages and other immune cells that is facilitated by tissue contraction and cytokine release. So the questions that come up in my mind:Does excess inflammation lead to bead migration through tissue contraction?Does limiting this inflammation mitigate macrophage recruitment and subsequently does this lead to less collagen deposition? Your reduced growth implies the answer to the second question is yes. Then again, I find it very hard to your body would allow a foreign body to be in the area without properly walling it off.

No improvement yet, in fact it seems worse. Going back to TJ tomorrow for treatment. I have a hard time believing this is not FBG. This has been a real struggle.

Yikes. Sorry, sounded like things were taking a turn for the better... Good luck. And, what\'s FBG?

Found this article on treating granulomas with Allopurinol. Seems like a possible treatment. I\'m going to ask Dr C about doing this in conjunction with Kenalog.

Thanks Everyone for your support. It\'s been a really hard month for me.

I\'m in TJ now and just has several Kenalog injections from Dr C. I also got him to prescribe me allopurinol to treat the underlying cause of the inflammation. The whole team was amazing and very encouraging. Wade sat and chatted with me for an hour while I was waiting for Dr C and really took my mind off my shitty situation. After I popped an ativan I was joking with Dr C while he was injecting the K into my junk. He said for me to never feel alone in this, that they are always there, which to me is fantastic bedside manner. When I left, Dr C gave me a big hug.

I hope I\'m going to be on the Up and Up now.

Shitty thing is I just met someone I really like after 2 years single and this is putting a damper on things.

Hang in there Red. You\'re in good hands.
And yes...You are not alone...Not only do you have Dr. C, Wade and the rest to the team in Tijuna, but you have this board.
