I wanted to contribute my experience in the chance that it helps someone else in the future. When I last looked, the only similar post or experience I could find didn’t have a status update showing resolution, and could leave a reader with more questions than answers from their dire situation.
For context, I’ve had two sessions with Rupeka last year, and one this year with AD. Although I didn’t have a particularly bad experience with Rupeka, it was several magnitudes a better experience with AD. I healed more quickly, gained more thickness during that round, and has a much more even shape aesthetically.
After one of my sessions, I did end up with an infection. Significant swelling, chills, fever and redness trailing up my fat pad area. I understand that this is a 1-2% occurrence, and even with proper aftercare, it can happen. Thankfully I have insurance, and after a few days at the hospital, it was all under control. I had several rounds of IV antibiotics as well as an incision and drain procedure to address source control given the sensitivity of the location. My biggest concerns were rapidly washed away so the worst case scenarios, and even with it interrupting my aftercare significantly, I had a quick recovery and didn’t experience any issues that I can see with aesthetics or healing otherwise, despite the complications.
I do think I could have shortened my recovery when I initially recognized the symptoms if I had gone directly to the doctor. I was hoping it would pass, gave it three days with saline cleaning, epsom salt baths and antibiotics at home to see if it improved prior to jumping to the hospital.
I know this community has been helpful for me to learn from and gain some peace of mind around the entire concept of PMMA, medical providers and aftercare. Given so few folks have posted about extreme cases like this, and the one that I did find was left unresolved, I wanted to contribute to the experience sharing in case it helps someone in the future. Even with a low occurring, more extreme scenario, I ended up without any issues to speak of. Even the incision and drain mark is fading, and I don’t suspect it will leave much of a scar.
Going to Avanti after going to Rupeka was a fantastic experience for me as well, greatly contributing to my sense of happiness with the experience. Within their first procedure, they corrected a significant asymmetry from previous sessions. The bedside manner was overall a better experience, less rushed, and netted better results overall. Ian was fantastic with the check ins each day following, and the massaging contributed to my best results yet.
Aside from boosting my confidence, which was the primary driver for these procedures, for the first time ever my wife is consistently multi-orgasmic. We’ve been together for 15 years, and the large majority of her orgasms have always come from penetration while running her clit. Now that I have 6.5 inches of girth, it’s a new experience for the both of us. It took something that was already healthy in our relationship and optimized it to the next level. Seeing her body and facial reactions when I first enter is very satisfying for both of us.
I’ll be going back to AD later this year for one more session. My biggest regret is that I didn’t go to Avanti earlier.
