Thanks everyone... I get my results back from my GI doctor, and follow-up with a new doctor early in the year.

I had penile inflammation about 2 months ago that resolved itself.

My constant feeling of fatigue, AFIB attacks and chest pain hopefully is related to a GI issues ... and not something else like Liver... however I\'m not jaundice --- so lets hope its not that either.

I also am going to see a urologist who is familiar with PMMA here in Austin ... this should help me get a better grasp on things.

I think Bigben hits the nail on the head... if you are neurotic about your health, then this procedure is something you might want to reconsider... (e.g. my brain keeps telling me \"this health issues started 4 months after my procedure --- how can it not be related!\") ... my brain is wrapped around the axel with that thinking --- so I think CHL does have some points about seeing a psychologist ... which I\'ll also do in Jan...

I\'ll continue to update the board as I figure out whats going on with me.

I tend to agree with the other posters that stress is a effecting your symptoms. It sounds like you need a new doctor perhaps a specialist that is willing to look at your case more carefully.

The lymph system is basically the sewage system of the body. It pulls cellular debris up the body and empties into the subclavian veins at the base of the neck:

www.lymphnotes.com/article.php/id/151/

From here the liver filters the waste from the blood and produces bile which is which is eventually excreted by your body. So I am sure there is pmma circulating through your body but this is not a problem unless you are having a inflammatory reaction to it. (The spheres are too small in size and concentration to show up on an MRI, only microscopic analysis of biopsied tissue would reveal them). PMMA disease would result in penile inflammation, inflamed lymph nodes, or liver disease, all pretty miserable and difficult to treat but I don\'t believe you have complained of any of these?

I do not see how cardiac issues could be related to pmma migration.

Finally anyone prone to anxiety should NOT undergo any type of penile enhancement. It is basically like playing russian roulette with the pistol pointed at your penis every year. Some can sleep comfortably with this risk knowing that there penis is larger, others can not.

Does Dr Elist, Dr Rosenthal, and Dr Cassavantes provide full informed consent before cutting or injecting mens genitals ? My guess is no.. This responsibility rests solely on the doctor and not this, or any other, internet forum.

Anyone considering phalloplasty should ask the doctor how major complications have been handled and ask for specific cases. If you are told this has never happened, run for the door. .

Sorry to hear about your health problems darkstaff but, after reading your post as I said in your thread I really think your problems are STRESS, diet & exercise related.

The mind is powerful & can have serious effects on your body. You\'d be surprised how this can effect your health. The best relief of stress is vigorous exercise, it helps release your inner stress & anxieties. Its tough when your actually doing it, it will feel like your suffering while your exercising but, after you recover from each training session, after a hot shower you\'ll be much more relaxed you\'ll feel better little by little in no time.

Like I said in the other post, I had the same problems that started when I was around 38yrs old feeling heart issues, felt my heart beating hard & irregularly often. I was drinking a lot & eating way too much wheat, meat & sugar products. And I was stressing a lot about everything. After I got some straight talk from my friend who\'s a progressive doctor & he told me I need to get serious about my health or else.. One of the main things he told me was get rid of the STRESS.

Vigorous exercise, eat & juice vegetables like your life depends on it, you\'ll be surprised how fast your body will turn around for the better.

I\'m concerned that my doctor has no idea what PMMA is, and has no capacity to include a related cause within the scope of his diagnosis.

The good news is that I have no issue with my penis ... it seems to be fine... so I\'m hoping there is no relation... and instead is just a crazy coincidence that my health went south a few months after my procedure in June.

I had a CT scan with contrast about a week and half ago ... the complaint was pain in my abdomen, and pain when I took a full breath of air (pain on my left chest wall) ... it came back clean.

I got a copy of the CT scan, and it showed the penile area, and guess what ... I didn\'t see anything that would indicate PMMA ... is this normal? .. does PMMA not show up on CT scans? (Anyone know?)

Thanks!
Dark

The actual beads are a small percentage of the new tissue. It\'s not like silicone or other fillers. PMMA is particulate, so it probably wont show up.

But don\'t go getting this stuff removed. It will be a nightmare to cut out and even then I doubt they\'ll remove it all.

Also, given that only 3% of the beads are even smaller enough to theoretically migrate, then that means at the very most, 0.06 cc of PMMA could have migrated. Obviously that wont be the case, as not all that could have would have. In fact it\'s unlikely any has. When you consider all the other particles that get moved around the human body, I still don\'t get the worry of PMMA migrating. Obviously if it\'s injected directly into vessels at the point of injection, then we\'ve seen this can have tragic consequences, but the chances of this are close to zero when using a micro cannula. I just can\'t imagine the CIA have PMMA beads in their arsenal for assassinations.

If darkstaff is indeed have health problems due to migration of pmma in the blood stream or lymph system this should not be classified as a mental health issue. His response is appropriate and very understandable. Right now he does not have a diagnosis, so we should not jump to conclusions.

Hang in there. I am sure by working with the right medical professionals they can get a better idea of what is going on with your body. Right now, you don\'t have answers so its challenging, but I am sure with time they will be able to get a better grasp on things. Also do not rely on internet posters to diagnose yourself, this is your doctors job. I think things will change for the better soon. Be patient and you will get through this.

DO NOT GET IT REMOVED

This must be a really tough time for you, but as much as possible you need to try and stay as rational as possible. It\'s a real shame our other members who have freaked out post PMMA didn\'t keep consistently updated progress threads, as I\'m sure they would be of great help to you now. I\'d be amazed if your issues had anything to do with PMMA. In fact they don\'t, but it\'s not my place to tell you that as I\'m not a Dr. The trouble you face is that no Dr is going to feel comfortable ruling something out, when they\' don\'t know much about it. Maybe you should email Prof Lemperle. From reading previous correspondence of his, I\'m sure he\'d tell you straight it isn\'t PMMA causing your issues.

No one has posted here about their own personal experience with complete PMMA removal (e.g. de-gloving).

If repeatable granuloma formation after years can happen in face area, it can also happen in penis with the technique and product that Dr.C uses? What I gather it\'s possible that the granulomas that the woman has had could resolve by themselves and that they are only cosmetic problem?
How frustrating that there is no more info on cases like that. Why this has happened to her?How it has been resolved?

@smartman
Do you have any links about this HIV+ man?

Do you know if he has found anyone to remove the PMMA?

FBG in general is not dangerous and can be treated if it did persist for a longer time , it is only a localized issue and it doesn\'t cause severe generalized inflammation , in the other hand a systemic infection in our body can trigger FBG formation .
I think the worst thing if a person who has overcorrection of PMMA (--->PMMA removal for aesthetic reason) then I am sure he will think about removing pmma (partially or totally), so I advise everyone who decide for PMMA injection go for small volume and wait for a longer interval between each sessions (you are not doing any harm to your penis if you wait longer) and go for few sessions only and never be addict for more+more girth.
I have just heard one elderly HIV-patient who had > 6 sessions of PMMA 20%+30% 2 years ago--> he has now a very big penile girth, his flaccid penis is like a big sack full of irregular lumps of grain to pea sizes and he is looking for a doctor to remove his PMMA.
BTW he has loose penile skin and uncircumcised which can worsen his case
