I should preface this by saying I'm not a Medical or Healthcare Professional.
Despite having become sick over the years, not all viruses act the same, nor does your body necessarily respond to all of them the same way. It isn't a reach to believe that whatever you contracted may have triggered a sudden onset of inflammation (which would best describe the swelling you exhibit).
While I believe working with your Doctors in conjunction with Dr. C, there are some questions I personally have.
(1)How far removed are you from your initial sickness, and are there any lingering symptoms from that?
(2)Outside of just swelling, does it exhibit any pain, warmth, or redness (I don't have before photos, so I can't tell if any discoloration is present, but from the looks of it, the coloration does not seem unusual), even if intermittently?
(3) Do you have before photos, or at the very least, can you measure or gauge the amount it has swollen versus your pre-swollen penis.
(4) Can it get fully
Erect, and if so, are there any notable issues there (like discomfort, etc.).
The fact that the treatment options are working, although you seemingly have to continue taking them, tells me this could very well be a lingering inflammation triggered by a specific kind of virus, and you had the misfortune of having your body react in this way. For this reason I believe it will eventually subside. I don't know for certain. If you can share with us that additional information I requested, perhaps others (i.e. lurkers) who may have had similar experiences can chime in (or message you privately), and at the very least, can give us a better overall picture of what we're dealing with.
Between the photos, the circumstances you've described, and the effectiveness of the treatment protocol, I'm personally not alarmed from the outside looking in, but I totally understand why you would be. I would continue to hear out Dr. C's advice, and unless he says so, I feel like any secondary or tertiary treatments (someone mentioned
Kenalog or DMSO) ought to be set aside for now.
Please keep us posted!
