My personal opinion: The antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin) ll fix your situation.

You need a blood test to make sure the high doses of vitamin c won’t be harmful to you before you do them. Can’t recall why but it would be worth a shot to eradicate the virus .

I haven't tried that. I honestly have never heard of that. I'll discuss all these options with my Dr. I am in a much more positive state of mind having found this group again.

I'll definitely ask my Dr. about that. I do believe the right antibiotic will do the trick. The side effects of that one are a little scary.

All antibiotics have scary side effects on the paper, this true yes

Better to ask also Dr C. about the antibiotics.

Took my last prednisone pill this morning (a 6 day package). I would say the swelling is down about 70% or so after the 6 days of prednisone. I haven't had an antibiotic in about 10 days or so. I emailed Dr. C about Ciprofloxacin and asked for advice on that. I'll see how the next few days go and if the swelling returns. If it does, i'll hopefully be able to try the Ciprofloxacin combined with prednisone.

I understand … But I would not try to make experiments. When you take now so much prednisone before - maybe you develop tolerance!

Just make one time a correct cycle. Prednisone + antibiotic + Ibu.
Simple.

I would politely ask we desist from insisting someone pursue a Member-posted treatment (especially one that requires Prescriptions in many places) when the current protocol is (seemingly) working. Straying from Dr. C's (or other treating Physician's) directives may exacerbate the issue, and I will not tolerate this Forum being a place that condones alternative treatments until it is glaringly apparent all former (medically-approved) treatments have failed or become ineffective.

@PmmaFan I understand what you are expressing isn't an alternative treatment per-se, but in light of the fact that he's currently undergoing treatment, it's best we not supplant the Doctor's Orders for some musings from the Forum. Perhaps it was not your intent to come off this way, but it is critical that we provide information that will not impede his progress & recovery. We all need to be mindful to let the current measures run their course before we insist on anything to the contrary (or supplemental even).

What worked for some of us may not work for others, probably because not every complication stems from the same problem. When someone is experiencing complications and is on a trajectory that seems to have (positive) effects, it is best we "wait & see," especially when these recommendations and/or prescriptions are coming from trusted sources (like Dr. C).

By the way this isn't a knock on PmmaFan, but rather a PSA in general. I know we all mean well when we give advice, but when the patient in question is currently undergoing resolution, I ask we be mindful in our recommendations is all. Thanks.

I have to add: I got it described like that from Ian, Dr Morales after I got an infection - in week 4 after an AD Session.

But most important: 2 days ago I told @Needsomehelp - I recommend better to ask Dr. C. about the antibiotic

I m convinced that @Needsomehelp saw my comment in that full context.

Appreciate all the replies and advice. I have emailed Dr. C and am awaiting his feedback. Today is the first day off of prednisone and so far so good.
