Braveheart bro, sorry to see your current situation.

My opinion is: I strongly recommend that you see any Belladerm and/ or alloderm Phalloplasty surgeon who has experience in treating infections. Correct me if I\'m wrong here, seeing yellow goo excreted from wounds is definitely a local infection.

Hence there needs to be attentive care and local cleaning by a doctor ASAP. I don\'t mean to scare you here (sorry), but the infected area needs to be controlled, you do not want it to spread to other tissue areas.

Just pay them for cleaning up the infection.

Updated pic attached. Gokkum, yes, it would be good to have a local dr\'s help. I tried to contact a few specialists, but nobody would take me because of lack of insurance coverage, due to the plastic surgery precedent. I don\'t think there\'s an infection at this time though. How do you think the would looks? Dr Alter says it looks good.

Also, BTW, I was just in NYC on Thurs, and Dr. Alter assessed it. He said \'good,\' and he did not use any special cleaning technique. He just changed the dressing, and advised to simply change gauze filling 3 x per day, keep it covered, and shower once per day. This pic is right after a shower. No special ointments, or meds, just keep it clean and protected, and let the body heal itself. This is consistent with what I read on the net about open wound care. Gokkun, your wound care was quite remarkable, and obviously effective, but I don\'t think any physician will treat me in that manner (unfortunately).

I don\'t see any reason to think it\'s infected. I\'ve got photo\'s of a guy who had a much bigger hole in the same place and his healed eventually. I can send them to you if you want.

BH,
I am so sorry for what you are going through and wishing you a speedy recovery.
Comparing this picture to a couple of days ago, this one looks better. I think you are on your way, just stay the course and don\'t lose faith!

Good to hear from you. I was wondering how you were getting along.

Do you still have Sutures in? Even if the are dissolving one\'s personally I\' take them out.

The hole seems to be filling in from the right.

How is the swelling on the shaft area?

The Sutures are almost gone. I wouldn\'t know how to remove them, so I\'ll just let it go. The shaft swelling is almost gone. I am hopeful that the shaft will look much better when fully healed. I just have to get this damn hole healed up. It\'s a pain in the ass. It\'s like I have a pussy in my groin, wtf.

It\'s getting there. You must be starting to feel reasonably positive at this stage.

Do you have any photos of the penis as well? I\'m curious to see how the flap reversal and at Removal have effected the appearance.

I\'m no doctor but if it\'s healing fine on its own, I don\'t think it\'s necessary to introduce any sort of new treatment/product to the area...just my 2cents.
