There were four in all. I\'m positive that not one of them were the wiser although some were definitely wondering how that worked! lol One of them came back the next day to see if it was just a fluke. HC - hope things are going well with your procedure. IIRC you and I joined the old site (PB 1.0) about the same time last year. Time flies. The 8' length was chosen to fix the length as part of the study. It also happened to be a size where similar Girth dildos were available to be used as part of the study. It really has no significance to the study which only addresses Girth. From conversations it is pretty clear that most of the women who use dildos only insert 3 or 4 inches. I will say this again; this experience has convinced me that penis size is way down the list of things that are important to most women. If you really want to drive women crazy find a way to make your unit rotate and vibrate like the 'Rabbit' including the attached clit vibrator. It is only 3.5' in Girth!

I want to update this thread with preliminary data gathered from my GF’s group independent study class. The question was the same as the toy parties, “What would be the ideal thickness for your partner?”There were 2 important changes in the method. First there were options to the 0.25 Inch instead 0.50 Inch in the toy party survey. The second change was that since this was a semester long course participants were required to “try out” at least 3 different sizes and record their impressions in a log.Totals of 578 participating women:Length Girth Votes

8” 5.0” 1548” 5.25” 70
8” 5.5” 558” 5.75” 17
8” 6.0” 118” larger 6 Not much difference from the toy party results. It is still the case that more than 70% of the women listed between 4.5” to 5.25” as ideal! The plan is still to interview more than 1,000 women before official publication of the work. A couple of interesting tit bits: almost 1 in 4 of the participants identified themselves as Lesbian or bisexual. That segment actually had on average larger Girth preferences! The summary on the importance of Girth and penis size was not very flattering to men who were concerned in this area. Hoddle10 recently wrote a very insightful (and much kinder) post on this topic which had a similar explanation. Bottom line, penis thickness is not in the top 5 list of things that are important to most straight women.

The 0.25\" move was smart! I believe the eventual publication of this survey (it would be great to achieve a sample size of around 1,000) would be beneficial to both men & women, although men would probably get the most out of it.

It appears that the \"average\" Joe is usually more than adequate, and it goes back to the argument of Erection quality, stamina, and technique. That all being said, you will sometimes find a woman who\'s eager for size just like you find men who are eager for big boobs or big butts. But to believe you are small or inadequate due to possessing a truly \"average-range\" size, this survey may help eliminate those distorted beliefs.

My time on PE sites has made me very skeptical that this or any study will eliminate any distorted beliefs. To paraphrase what others have said it would require us to be very honest with our selves and some of us are not prepared to do that.

What\'s the need to glorify average-ness? I\'m not saying average isn\'t great. I\'m just wondering why on a site where almost everyone is increasing his size, do those people who are increasing their size discredit the idea of it and go so far as to generalize the validity of a \"study\" recording publicly reported preferences for dildoes to preferences for actual penises, which can be appreciated for psychological, aesthetic, and a dynamic and tactile experience distinct from that of dildos.
