After reading through these posts about Kenalog injections, there is no way that I am even going to consider a Kenalog injection. It looks like removing as much of it as possible through an incision is most likely the best way to go. These Kenalog stories are scary!

Given the wide spread use of Kenalog, I\'m not sure that website would put me off.

I think you need to consider things such as How does the possibility of complications with Kenalog injection, when good technique is used, compare to would infection in terms of frequency and seriousness?

I have an appointment with a Urologist on Monday. I think I want too see if he can make a small incision right over the lump and take out as much as he can. If he can\'t get to the very bottom of the fat then I can live with that. It\'s just the round top part of the lump that is bothering me. Then he should just be able to stitch it back up. If there is a small incision mark, it\'s not that big of a deal to me.

But look at the risks of Aspirin, paracetamol, water , air...Look at the complications of surgery.

This is the problem of a little knowledge. Potential for problems - yes, if there was no risk of problems then it means it does nothing. It does not mean it is more risky than surgery.

However surgery may do all you want and you go in with, maybe, a higher tolerence of the risk.

Thanks Dr Oates for your response, I really appreciate it.

Thanks to the others for their constructive contribution to the discussion.

I\'m certain Dr C will have a suitable IPL/laser to treat this area. I\'m planning to visit in September and will have Silikon 1000 microdroplets to camouflage the lumps and hopefully a laser treatment on the discoloration.

Yeah I\'ve learned only Kenalog 40 works. I don\'t know if 5fu does anything really, but it causes bad headaches. Kenalog 10 is a complete waste.

It hasn\'t reduced the hard shells of the nodules, though it has shrunk them slightly - like you said maybe 10% or a little more.
