I don\'t think it would make any difference. I think the botox simply freezes tha Dartos fascia which prevents Turtling. I don\'t think Turtling and post surgical retraction are the same thing. Mikehok is the guy to ask, but I think he told me that Turtling is due to the changes in the Dartos fascia due to weather or adrenalin levels etc. Even if your penis wasn\'t turtled, it will still retract i after trauma like surgery. Basically I think, in this study, the term \"retraction\" is used instead of what we would call Turtling.

But will this effect EQ in any way? OR does it have any side effects? such as loss of sensation or?

for those that miss my log, i had this done directly after round 2 of PMMA, and it was shot near the base on the bottom area of penis/testicle sack... 2 insulin needles 100 filled each and about 9 spot injections in all... 3 days to see, does lower sperm count though and he injected to treat testicle sack it will help with penis as well

That is a great news about using botox injection to treat Turtling (retraction), but I was thinking it will be much better if Dr. C. would use the botox injection 3 days or more before injecting the PMMA (so that our penises will not turtle during the most important period \"the 1st 48hrs\") But I know it will be difficult for us to visit Dr. C. twice e.g. within a week ???

BTW they used a big amount of botox 2 insulin syringes (i.e. 2 cc\'s) each syringe filled with 100 IU.

THat doctor in Brazil who also does PMMA enhancements also injects Botox for this purpose. How much more was the cost for this botox injection? Let us know if you find it is worth it.

$300 for the Botox..seems quite high.

Got an email back from Wade. The Botox option is $300 which I will be doing along with the PMMA. We\'ll have to see how long it lasts.

medilook, I agree with you. Alpha blockers work quite well for stress and even cold but exercise is just too strong. I experienced the same thing. Also in a similar way to you, if I have a strong urge to urinate it will also cause retraction.
Oddly enough I tend not to retract lengthwise, mine just goes thinner, which I hate !

Mikehok. I have tried taking alphablockers. I took 2 pills a day and it does seem to help with Flaccid hang when im relaxed but I still had retraction during exercise.

If your retraction is minor u probably wouldn\'t feel it much but for me it gets really bad to the point I have to stop running because the retraction is to much and causes me discomfort. It discourages me from running fast.

Im not looking to get PMMA. I just wanna stop this severe retraction. It happens when I bend over/sit down. I also experience genital shrinkage while holding in bowels but it relaxes after I emptied. Everything.

Alpha blocker isn\'t a cure but it does help with Flaccid hang and relaxes the pelvic muscles I believe.

I\'ve only just seen this, but it\'s quite interesting. If you are only doing it to help the PMMA procedure it seems a little pointless when you consider that taking an alpha blocker for 3 or 4 days will achieve much the same thing. However For those who suffer from retraction especially in the winter months or post exercise like I do and don\'t want to pop pills every day, this could be a great option.
I\'m no expert but there may be a number of mechanism involved in retraction. One of the main causes is increased circulating adrenalin caused by anxiety or exercise , which closes down certain blood vessels to allow for the fight or flight response, preventing a flow of blood to your penis and thereby shrinking it. Alpha blockers prevent this. However the dartos muscle which is runs under your penile skin also contracts, typically you see a wrinkling of the shaft skin. I believe botox prevents the muscle from contracting.

I don\'t know if we\'re talking about the same retraction, but the retraction I\'m reffering to is when your penis goes into the fat pad or scrotum while the penis skin pushes foward.

If your circumcized, it looks as though you aren\'t cirucumcized and if your aren\'t, it looks as though your Foreskin looks longer.

@medilook - Wouldn\'t an implant be the only thing that would prevent retraction? I am not aware of any surgical techniques that would prevent retraction. If you have come across anything different, please share. I personally wouldn\'t consider the implant option as a viable way of getting around the retraction problem though. I will be going in for PMMA on Jan. 7th. I will ask Wade about the Botox option.

what if you just got surgery to prevent the penis from going into the fat pad?
The injections are nice, but it\'s not permanent though right? There are surgeries to prevent penis from retracting into the body which I\'m considering getting.

to be honest smartman, i think he said 100 on the insulin needle but he used 2 needles, it all happened so fast i wasnt paying attention as much as i was wondering whether or not i would be regretting it lol.... so far no problemo
