Hello, I was talking to a patient last week about injectable
Girth enhancement following a penile implant. I see a lot of men with penile implants who assume they’re “maxed out” once the device is placed, especially when it comes to
Girth. I treat these men, usually with
PMMA (I can also use
HA if desired), to enhance their
Girth just like my patients that do not have an implant.
While talking to him, he asked that I put out a post because he knows that I successfully treat patients that have had implants. He said that there isn’t much out there with respect to information for men that want to enhance their
Girth after having an implant placed.
I do treat patients with inflatable penile implants who want additional erectile shaft
Girth, better
Flaccid appearance, and improved proportions. I do this on patients that are looking to improve their aesthetic, increase confidence, or increase their partner satisfaction…just like any patient. Actually, my technique lends itself better to patients that have an implant. When
Girth enhancement is performed in the fascial plane that I access, the procedure and the product does not interfere with the implant cylinders, inflation, deflation, or any mechanical function.
In fact, my patients that have implants are actually more of ideal candidates. Their anatomy is more predictable and their erectile rigidity is more than a patient without an implant. I can then use this increased rigidity as a “backboard” to place the injectable product along the correct tissue plane. I can usually do this slightly easier than in a patient without an implant.
The key point with this post is to just let men know that increasing your
Girth (if desired) after an implant is not only possible, but something that is performed with great success. I just wanted to create a topic discussion about this and give patients that have implants a place to discuss
Girth enhancement after their implant placement.
Best,
Jason
