Do you take antibiotics after each round of injections?
December 1st, 2025 07:05 UTC #1308723708 Curious to know from guys who have multiple rounds regularly. Say twice a year to maintain. Does your doctor prescribe antibiotics after each round? Is it mandatory to take them?
Going on this journey for a number of years do you worry about antibiotics resistance and other side effects?

Re: Do you take antibiotics after each round of injections?
December 1st, 2025 21:55 UTC #1308723713 I actually only took them the first time. Antibiotics aren’t the best for our body, as you know, so I thought I’d just let my body heal on its own. If I noticed that the inflammation wasn’t going down by itself, I would of course start taking them. I just didn’t want to take them preventively for no reason.
Just keep in mind that regardless of the antibiotics, you can expect quite a bit of swelling and fluid in the penis. So don’t be surprised by that.

If you're waiting until the swelling doesn't go down, you're allowing potential bacteria to develop biofilms within the filler which makes the effectiveness of the antibiotics decrease (i.e. you'll end up with a much worse infection)
If you want to have things injected into your body, take the damn antibiotics.
