There can be several different factors at play here depending on the person. However, it is likely mostly due to residual inflammation. Bellafill (any PMMA really) creates an inflammatory response in the penis which is responsible for both collagen formation as well as any granuloma that appears. If you're experiencing swelling after sex even after the PMMA has integrated with the tissue, it's unfortunately very likely you went to a practitioner who is not a urologist and doesn't understand penile anatomy and precisely how it's affected by the PMMA. We've sadly been seeing more and more cases in our clinic of men who come to us for repair because of serious complications after having gone to someone for girth enhancement with PMMA who is a dermatologist or esthetician or plastic/cosmetic surgeon but not a board-certified urologist.
