In February, I underwent the Ellanse treatment in Melbourne, administered by Dr. Danh at Calibre Clinic. The procedure was split into two sessions: 12ml in the first session, followed by 8ml a week later, totaling 20ml. The cost for this treatment was $15,000, and I am uncircumcised.

The initial session proved to be an excruciating experience. The drive home was intensely painful, and I endured discomfort for about four hours afterward until the Erection subsided. Over the following weeks, I noticed the development of a lump in the top center of my penis shaft, despite my diligent adherence to the prescribed massage regimen.

During the second session in March, I voiced my concerns about the lump to Dr. Danh. However, he dismissed it as merely a bruise, assuring me it would resolve itself. Following this treatment, I continued with the recommended massages and attempted to mold the product as instructed.

As July approached and the swelling began to subside, I became aware of large lumps forming along my penis shaft, which some might describe as nodules. Despite my efforts to massage them, they persisted. As more swelling disappeared, these lumps became increasingly prominent. Under intense light, my penis appeared to have a honeycomb-like formation, and it looked totally disfigured.

To make it even worse, it seems like most of the product is within the outer layer of the skin, so when my Foreskin moves forward, all the product moves with it. See the attached photo. It's like having a thick, bubbly condom on at all times.

Concerned by these unexpected developments, I reached out to Calibre Clinic to schedule a follow-up appointment. To my shock, I was informed that Dr. Danh was no longer practicing in Melbourne, and no one was available for an in-person consultation. Instead, they offered a phone consultation with Dr. Oates (who lives on the other side of the country) to review photos of my condition.

During our phone conversation, Dr. Oates acknowledged that the outcome was not as intended. He proposed a solution involving steroid injections, which I would need to pay for myself, to be administered by another doctor in Melbourne whom he would find and recommend.

Two weeks have passed since this discussion, and I've received no further communication. My recent messages to Dr. Oates to ask if he has the details for the doctor have gone unanswered, leaving me feeling abandoned despite his assurance that I could contact him anytime.

This entire experience has left me deeply disappointed and feeling deceived. The abrupt departure of my treating doctor without patient notification strikes me as highly unprofessional. The lack of post-treatment care and follow-up is stark, especially compared to my experiences with other, less significant cosmetic procedures where aftercare was far more attentive.

Adding insult to injury, Calibre Clinic said they were only offering the follow-up consult with Dr. Oates "as a good will gesture" (lucky me) even after viewing the concerning photos I had submitted and despite my substantial $15,000 investment in their services.

Moving forward, I am considering filing a complaint with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and exploring avenues to resolve this nightmarish situation. I have attached photos of my patient outcome.

Sorry to see & hear of your results. The good news is that it seems like it may be correctable since it's mostly (if not entirely) aesthetic, but will take some work.

I've always thought Dr. Oates should have been the one administering the Ellanse at Calibre and the rest of their Practitioners sticking strictly to Hyaluronic Acid (HA), not only because Dr. Oates is their best injector, but because I've come across less than stellar results with other Calibre (and other Australian) Practitioners when it involves Ellanse.

While Dr. Oates / Calibre are no longer a Sponsor here (we parted ways on amicable terms), I can say he's been generally well received by other Australians, both on the forums and through back channels (i.e. private messages, emails, etc.), and I would give him the benefit of the doubt despite it having been two weeks. Given that the circumstances don't require immediate attention, he may very well be looking for a qualified Practitioner who understands your situation and will know how to remedy it per Dr. Oates orders -- remember, MOST Doctors don't know about this stuff, and in fact even Dr. Danh was presumably trained and didn't even do a good job.

Not excusing the "radio silence" but I'm willing to believe that Calibre will look to resolve your situation as best as possible -- Dr. Oates heads a much larger cosmetic operation and isn't strictly a penis enlargement doctor himself per-se -- I agree with you, it wasn't wise of him to insist you could contact him whenever, especially given my knowledge of his greater overall role & responsibilities at the Clinic -- but I can't see what he gains by dismissing your case (and has never previously exhibited any type of behavior or business with reports in the past).

Suggestion: is it possible to find Dr. Danh outside of Calibre (wherever he is) and ask him to correct his mistakes? I think a mention of AHPRA to him will be more constructive & fruitful in your situation than to throw it at Calibre (even though Calibre is still very much a responsible party) -- I'm saying this for practicality's sake.

The alternative suggestion would be Revision in the States, but you'd have to assess if the logistics (and everything else that comes with traveling) is worthwhile versus whatever options you end up having in AU. Best of luck, and we're for support & answers.

I understand your points Skeptical_one, however you would think a patient who had a "botched" experience with your business would be a priority, and you would at least communicate with them to let them know that you are searching for solutions for them and not leave them in the dark to assume they are so busy tending to their other clients.

As far as I am aware, Calibre, and Academy Face and Body are responsible, as they are the ones who I paid and had all communication with.

Apparently Dr Danh packed his bags and moved back to Perth suddenly, so trying to track him down would probably be useless.
