I wanted to wait for an 8 week update since the swelling was staying much longer than expected but I'm almost there so I'll post my update now at day 52.
The swelling started to fade significantly during the 5th week and the shaft skin started to move much more freely, almost like when I didn't have
PMMA. Actually I noted that the skin could move much more naturally between days 38 and 44. After that, there hasn't been any significant changes. If I'm completely
Flaccid, I can still feel the implant underneath the skin if I look for it, but I can live with that and since the skin is more flexible now, it can be compressed more easily when I wear boxer briefs.
The EG is still at 7 inches and my wife didn't have to adjust too much and I'm feeling lucky about that. She even said that she was lucky because she had a husband whose penis grew over the years! While she was joking about that, she told me that I should stop at that
Girth and I completely agree with that. Collagen has formed over some of the nodules I had, which makes the skin a little smoother while
Flaccid and
Erect. I don't know if I'll ever go back to AD. I don't think a touch up is absolutely necessary, but it would be helpful.
As for the appearance, when
Flaccid, me penis just looks wider, but nothing announces that I've had a procedure, apart from the fact that not lots of people have a penis that wide when
Flaccid (6 inches of
Girth). When
Erect, as you can see, the implant has amplified the football shape I had a bit before, i.e. wider in the center and a bit narrower at the ends. Ideally, I'd prefer the base to be slightly wider, but that doesn't make it dysfunctional in any way. EDIT: looks wider at the middle only when looking from the top of it.
To recap, related to my first post, I no longer intend to have surgery to remove the implant. I've learned to tolerate it and I think I'll be able to accept it for several more years if nothing changes and stays this way. It's certainly been a roller-coaster of emotions during the first few weeks, partly caused by swelling and pain that lasted longer than described by others here, but everything seems to be back to normal. Thanks again to the people who supported me here!
