Valid question for sure and I've seen it asked before. I guess it's kind of vague to say I have my personal reasons as far as wanting more, but it is what it is. I wouldn't say it was because I felt small. I also wasn't bragging about my previous size in my personal life, it just was it. There was no insecurity in the decision, and it wasn't a snap choice either. I've always wanted more, it just is what it is. I had completely written off the idea or hope of ever being significantly bigger than I was but it was always a very strong "if I could... I would". I stumbled across this site after reading tons on pretty much every
Dick related site I could find ranging from Thunders to LPSG to equivalent of blogs and articles and.... everything. I found this place I believe around 2011 (S.O. could probably confirm that from the old version) and it was intriguing, stuff regarding a few options was showing up and
PMMA was one that got the jump obviously. Still freaked the shit out of me. I had written off injections as NO WAY. And I mean... prior to this, yeah, I had that "oh what if I got just a smidge of silicone" thought, which was really, really quickly extinguished by the internet. It still baffles me why anyone would do that.
Anyway, as I was catching up on this forum then, I still had the thought in my head "yeah, ok... I'm just going to wait for these guys to start having train wrecks". Not that I wanted or wished harm on anyone, just from an observer's perspective who knows no one personally and had seen the horrors of other options (especially silicone), it kind of led me the thought that this would be no different. Plus I had heard of guys being told they're getting one thing injected... and getting another and disaster ensues. While this place had some convincing reports emerging then, I was still super skeptical and cynical about it, and remember this is when some really major 'success' reports were happening in live time. I also want to make it clear, that before some of those reports happened, I had already
wanted something substantial if I was going to do something/anything/ever. They didn't skew or make me feel a new insecurity or anything really, just some fascination. I also was aware of the issues... not everyone was happy by any means. I've read the couple instances of
Removal. I read another more recent guy's issues with
Bellafill from his
Dermatologist in the States (so... board approved injector I'd assume with an FDA approved product). How serious his issues were, I can only take at face value that he was suffering more in ways we couldn't see, I personally felt visually it wasn't that bad but that's none of my business, it's just to make my next point. Internal pain and suffering aside, mental suffering aside, I was very aware of all the complications and potential risks. Which I'll be frank, aren't as terrifying with this route as lots of other things out there. The vast majority are aesthetic from this provider. My understanding is their only issue/
Removal has come from one or two (I asked and can't remember the number they said)
PMMA patients (and connecting the dots, I'd assume this is the uncircumcised one listed in their journal paper) and since then their only other more major complication or issue came as the result of Silikon which they have terminated using based on that.
Sorry for the long winded above, especially if it's a bit all over, but this is what led to my choice to do this: it's the best option. My wife has breast implants. The satisfaction rate with them and chance of long term complications is at the very best the same as with this. And they always require re-operation with time. If the long term success rate of this procedure is the same (or better), and the long term complication rate is the same (or better), I was comfortable with that risk. Even with smaller sample sizes, implants have problems. I personally know two other people with issues with implants, which is a bit ridiculous on one side because they seeked out a surgeon willing to do what others said they wouldn't, and the other was just luck of the draw with a great surgeon. So *who* does things does matter as well to some extent.
After all that thought process and reading... I more recently had decided I would eventually do it, I just figured I'd wait until I could easily spare the money with the added benefit that more time would pass to observe. It was a bit after that decision that the promotional offer popped up, which sounded great so I ... didn't jump lol. I filed it away and just thought nah, not right now. My wife and I went away quite awhile after (I think it was a few weeks even?) and it was kind of itching in my mind. She casually was talking about how she's had her implants for close to ten years and might start saving up to have them redone or have a fund if an issue came up. I jokingly said well if you get that, I want a thicker penis. We laughed... and less than a week later I said, "so about that thicker penis...". At first she thought I was joking that it was even possible. But then once we talked it over, she was skeptical, but was more than fine with it if I did my research and wanted it. And I mentioned that financially with the promotion it made more sense. I at that point thought well, if a second candidate has taken the spot then it wasn't meant to be and I'll wait (I'm not big on meant to be but whatever). Second spot hadn't been filled. So I sweat buckets for a night and decided to do it.
So to sum up your question with my answer/explanation/story... the risk was worth it to me for the outcome. I'm not a hypochondriac, it was likely if I had issues, they'd be less serious in nature or just superficial and I'm married so I didn't care if it was a designer
Dick or had some irregularities.
Which is important. It's why I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone just for the sake of it even though I'm very satisfied. Especially if they're happy with what they have (for the most part happy even) *unless* they're ok with possible trade offs or issues. IF they are determined to get something, this the route I would suggest for having the best likelihood of an acceptably safe and permanent outcome. I actually did have a pretty significant lump at an injection site from my first session (which I'll post pics). It was due to my aftercare or lack thereof in that spot. I didn't realize how serious keeping product out of the injection sites is. It definitely formed collagen around it. They were able to break it up and manipulate it in my second session, especially because I went in right at 6 weeks vs several months.
I honestly never posted on here while lurking because until I was serious, I never wanted to mention my starting stats to upset anyone. There are experiences here that were quite a level up from me in terms of starting sizes as well though and I'm sure out of the thousands and thousands that Avanti has done at least a few have been significant prior to the procedure that we've never heard about. I can empathize with the pain and feeling some guys go through who genuinely are depressed about their size, and I wouldn't want to add to that. But nonetheless, this is an elective procedure and available to anyone willing to stomach it. Now that I've done it, my story might help someone have more info to make their own choice.
And again for the record, although I am happy, my idea of a great outcome isn't everyone's, and I would be ok living with minor issues. Some guys I'm sure would have freaked. I also am married and have gone over all this with my wife and what we're comfortable with might not be what others are.
Man, sorry if that was too long lol!
