It\'s been 16 days since my PMMA 30% treatment and over the last few days I\'ve noticed several nodules (sort of tough ball feeling objects under the skin). I tried to massage them and I may have gotten rid of a couple but there are several that do not go away. Rubbing the ones closer to the skin leaves an abrasion mark (see left. Side close to the glans perhaps next to injection poin and one at the base). Deeper ones (on the bottom side of the penis) just don\'t respond at all. I can count at least three over the top part and 2 at the bottom and deeper. What are these and what can be done? Could this the foreign object granuloma that everyone dread and what should I be doing next? Thanks
Well I\'m describing what it feels like - hard Balls (feel like beads) stuck in the soft texture of the PMMA layer, some closer to the surface and some deeper. I can count at least 5-6 of them if not more. I\'m not sure what the definition of a Nodule or fbg is, but I am wondering if this would fit the description or can it be anything else. Can I do anything to alleviate this before I am back at the clinic (they are not there today to answer calls anyway). Also, I am wondering if the fact that I took a lot if ibuprofen starting day 3 until day 8 post op, which in retrospect was told by them was a bad idea, could have influenced this by depressing the body\'s common way of creating inflammation. Basically anything you can tell me would be helpful.
Nodules are normal. A FBG is a fierce immune reaction which you certainly don\'t have. You\'ve got run of the mill nodules, which are quite common. Have you typed \"nodules\" into the search tab? Instead of sitting there letting your imagination run wild and worrying yourself to death, why don\'t you read as much as you can on the forum.
Some people report success with squeezing these little lumps, some say they improved and disappeared over time and others needed Dr C to fix them in a later round.
When you say \"back at the clinic,\" this doesn\'t mean you are still in Mexico does it?
yeah i hear ya bro. Ive got a pea sized one at one of the entry points and its quite noticeable when im Erect. I got a little magic bullet vibrator and have been massaging and vibrating it. Doesnt really seem to change anything. Might just be something i have to deal with.
I have them too but mine are extremely small and not noticeable without searching. This was my primary reason for going 10%. So far I am happy with the outcome despite some very minor aesthetic issues.
Mine are pretty small but some are close to the surface. What I\'m not sure about is whether it is worth while massaging them - can it help? In my case it mostly created skin abrasions and even some bleeding but if this is advisable I can do it more gently. In general - should I be massaging beyond a few days after the procedure? I\'m only stretching now but would be glad to find out If massage is a good idea at the later stages and if so, what should I be looking for. Thanks!

Bleeding ?! Yea, I suspect you are massaging them a bit too aggressively. Tone back on the intensity of the massage and perhaps even the frequency. The truth is that, massaging may not always work to resolve the Nodule situation. Fortunately yours are small and could likely be treated in a touch-up session should it bother you that much.
OK I am 3 weeks post op and I am starting to feel the collagen forming around the penis except for the bottom part along the urethra, where it seems that a huge number of nodules are forming instead of consistent collagen tissue. Some are pea size, some smaller but there are tons. Could this turn into healthy collagen and can I do something about it other than trying to break them apart not with much success? I stretch the penis with the device Wade sold me almost 24/7 which creates some inflammation - can this be impacting the formation of all these nodules at the bottom part?
just wanted to send an update that I am not sure whether these are nodules at the bottom or just edges of the collagen as the PMMA does not go all around the bottom in my case (following scrotoplasty). ANyway it seems to be growing exponentially every day and is surprisingly uniform for 30% (although I have been stretching all of the time).
Candybars, what ever happened with your nodules? Did anyone else have these issues that can weigh in? I am almost 8 weeks post now.
I still have 3 deep/hard nodules on the left - and two on the right that are on the surface. There\'s one on the underside also that is actually painful now, which is odd.
The shallow ones on the right are being cut out in a few weeks, but I don\'t know what to do (or expect) about the deep ones on the left.
It hasn\'t changed much since this pic. Since Wade won\'t write back, I don\'t know the Kenalog doses & we didn\'t overdo it to avoid Atrophy...and achieved no softening of the nodules, though they seem to have shrank a little. They are very hard.
