As I understand it, Rosenthal stacks sheets, whilst Solomon only wraps, so no matter how many sheets he uses, the graft should still only be 4mm thick. The reasoning is that Solomon believes that the extra risk of infection isn\'t worth it. Rosenthal tries to reduce the extra risk of infection by only making one incision and doesn\'t allow showering for a greater period of time.

Thanks for the insight hoddle10. I\'m not entirely up-to-date on Solomon\'s or Rosenthal\'s current application methods. I know Dr. Harold Reed doesn\'t advise using multiple sheets regardless of incision closure due to bacterial infection risks. There are so many members here that had this procedure done with alloderm/Belladerm/etc that I believe the average gain is roughly 1/3\" long term and sometimes even less. I spoke with both Rosenthal (really nice doc/uro) and Reed (also nice) and they said to expect a 3/4\" increase but resorption to around 1/2\" and that was from multiple sheets. Rosenthal offered to do 2 - 3 sheets in a single surgery where Reed said I\'d have to return after healing was complete and receive an additional sheet. Thanks bro! You are a Phalloplasty wikipedia.

Sorry for the delayed reply.

I have one sheet of surgimend, which is 4mm thick.

Dr. Solomon told me that alloderm and Belladerm can vary in thickness, and when you stack them you run into the issue or shortening and warping. This is because the sheets in the middle to not get any blood flow, which is necessary for grafts to heal. He also stated that he uses one sheet in order to prevent a seam, which one would get if they had used smaller pieces next to each other. (not on top of each other).

I hope that was helpful, I will be posting pics of my progress tomorrow. Keep in mind that I am still a little bruised looking, and I still have a small amount of swelling under my head.

Thanks for the support.

Here are some pics, I am 4 weeks post op today. There is still a small amount of swelling and you can notice the scar from my surgery with Dr Elist.

Dr Solomon\'s incision is on the scrotum, and goes up about a half Inch on the bottom of the shaft.

Hope this helps you guys out.

Hey chicagolaw thanks for posting! Looks like Dr. Solomon did a good job. Looks very natural. I\'m sorry about the scarring from Dr. Elist... Wish you had found this place sooner!

I agree with Miracle, it\'s looking really good.

Don\'t worry about the scar from the Elist surgery, as there are things that can be done that will make a scar like that pretty much invisible.

Would it be possible to see a shot of the incision Dr Solomon used? I think a scrotal approach to Girth surgery is a good idea.

I will post a pic of my new incision later today. What can I do to cover up the incision from Dr E.

Last year I had a hair transplant into my incision scar. My scar was bigger than yours and is now pretty much undetectable. Given the fact you scar is pretty small, a simple hair tattoo will probably blend in nicely with the surrounding hair, if you didn\'t want to go to the effort and expense of a transplant.

Is there also an incision just below the glans? If so could you also post a photo of that?

Here is a picture of the incision, I still have about 2 weeks to go until it is completely healed but you can see that it is pretty much closed up. I was not able to post earlier because I forgot to take a picture before I put on the Bactitracin ointment. There is only one incision, to answer your question, there is not an incision behind the glans. Hope this help you guys out!!

I was cleared to work out again, I am taking it slow as of now though, I usually bench 300 for 8 reps but for now I am starting with 50 pounds and doing 40 reps. I will resume sex in a week or two, its still sore as of now.

Thanks for the photo. I really like the new approach of one incision via the scrotum. I think it will make the recovery process so much easier.

Just an update, I am now a few days past the 6 week mark. I have been cleared to resume normal activity i.e. gym, biking, sex... The scar is healed at this point, it is still a little raised but I see an improvement every time I look at it. The shaft is softening up daily and erections are no longer uncomfortable. Sex however may have to wait another week, I tried to be intimate with my wife a few nights ago and it was a little uncomfortable still. I will try again in a week, I figure giving myself a week between attempts for now will prevent any discomfort.

I took some measurements yesterday, I am 4.5\'\' long Flaccid and 5.5\'\' in Flaccid Girth. I have not taken Erect measurements yet because I have still not achieved what I would consider a full Erection. Erect Girth is definitely larger than Flaccid though, I can tell just by looking. My Erect length has not returned to pre op status. The doctor cleared me to use the 1lb weighted condom from the grip system, he said this should return my Erect length.

I look forward to finally being able to have sex, I cant believe its been 6 weeks already, the time went by so fast looking back... Im sure the boner prevention pills helped that as well.

Any questions feel free to ask. I will post another pic at the 8 week mark, as well as update the measurements.
