Pain, Inflammation, redness 2 months+ after touch up 11 years 7 months ago #1277596868

Hi folks, just wanted to share what I am experiencing right now.

I ve had a touch up 2 months ago and from there on have very hard lumps.

Those lumps turned red 2 weeks ago, started to hurt and it seems to get worse.

I ll keep you updated.

Cheers

Please do Olafspo. Hopefully they will resolve spontaneously in time.

Hope they will, but after 2 months the material should have smoothed out a lot but is still hard as rock and I think very superficial as the skin is stuck to it

Red, painful lumps sound like FBG. I think you consult a Dr. I think Smartman posted the details of a Dr in Paris who is an expert in PMMA. If the lumps are as superficial as you think and appear from the photo, then I\'d imagine they can be removed under a local anesthetic in a Dr\'s office.

How does it look Erect? Can you still have sex? Any chance of an Erect photo? I know that sounds like an odd request, but for those of us on the fence about PMMA, it would be good to see what it looks like Erect when lumps to occur.

Could also be some sort of FBG? I\'m no expert on FBGs but if that is the case, they are treatable, and there is reason to believe they can also resolve on their own as Miracle pointed out. Keep us posted, and hope it takes care of itself soon!

Also, I\'m sure I read Dr C has had success breaking up lumps with a cannula. But I\'m not sure if that would deal with the inflammation.

Didn\'t see Hoddle\'s posts, we posted around the same time. It\'s just the idea of it getting harder, redder, and localized that gives me the suion of an FBG.

@Olafspo

Have you contacted the doctor about it?

First of all, I\'m very sorry to hear you are having problems. I hope for the best for you and that you are able to get this resolved quickly and without further complication. As to what the problem might be,
I had read on an earlier thread about this complication that someone thought this was a result of the PMMA being injected incorrectly into the wrong tissue layer. Now everyone is saying FBG. Are both possible? I\'m just trying to synthesize all pertinent data, I realize we are not doctors but we are as a collective far better informed than many on this subject. Thoughts?

Redness and pain makes it sound like it could be FBG. Also FBG are reportedly much more common when PMMA is injected to superficially, as the dermis has more immune cells. Looking at Olafs photos, it really does appear to be in the skin.

I used warm baths to make it feel better.

Also, I recommend anything that soothes the mind... light music, anti-anxiety meds..

Don\'t worry is the key... try ibuprofen for pain.

If you get urethral pain, there are meds for that too...

Do you have any pain around the base?

Dark

Thanks for all your replies.

I have not heard an answer from Dr. N yet.

I also sent the pics to Dr. C and asked if he could tell me his opinion, no answer yet.

Today I am starting to apply antibiotic cream ( Bactroban 2% ), this might help with the inflammation.

@dark. I am against pain and anxiety meds. As long as the pain is bearable it is OK for me. And anxiety meds....no go =)

I had a similar thing once after the procedure but it appeared 3 weeks after and was not so prominent. But was also a red spot. This time it is much harder and actually feels like a silicone implant.

I ll keep you updated.

Hi Olafspo,

I wish you the best bro. , what you have looks like FBG the reason for that as H10 said in your last rd the injection was soo superficial (one of the reason for this is you had many rds. and in each rd. your Dr. will definitely inject the pmma more and more superficial till the PMMA reach the dermis where your immune system is high ---> FBG.

I have asked Prof. Lemperle to check the pic.s and to give me his opinion :-

This guy has developed a real granuloma and should be treated with cortisone (Kenalog , triamcinolone) injections : 1 ml a 40 mg mixed with 1 ml lidocaine and injected Swiss cheese-like in the lump only by pumping it up pulling the 27G needle back and forth. Maybe, if he sends the pictures to Dr. Nelly Gauthier This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in Paris : she is the world expert in PMMA granuloma treatment ! - and asks her, whether she treats him. - That\'s why I am preaching since 10 years to use clean PMMA, only !!! Best wishes,Gottfried
