TOPIC: GAP between the glans

GAP between the glans 12 years 1 month ago #1275860390

Hello Friends,

I am considering doing PMMA but I have a very huge concern about aesthetics.

All of the penis pics after PMMA I have seen here (with the exception of Sizemic) are extremely ugly.

On all of them there is a gap without PMMA between the glans and the shaft. I know that it is a difficult area for the substance to stick but I wonder if there is any thing one can do to reduce that appearance.

I mean, people are using extenders after the procedure... the extender grabs and squeezes exactly at that spot... couldnt that be the reason of this? Wouldnt a penis sleeve work better since it would force and distribute the PMMA equally between the whole shaft?

I am saying this because i can imagine a woman looking at that gap and saying WHAT THE FUCK is this!!!

I cant be the only one who thinks this...

Only the biggest of idiots would think that obtaining a 100% natural look was possible more times than not via artificial augmentation. There is a reason why majority of \"boob jobs\" are quite apparent. Even with Sizemic\'s result, a trained eye could tell you his possibly had work done. I disagree with the characterization of \"extremely ugly,\" but we all have our own opinions. If you find the majority of the post-op penises on this site ugly, you are strongly urged to stay away from Phalloplasty altogether as you will certainly be displeased with your outcome, irrespective of method or technique.

Everyone who gets any procedure done wants the best aesthetic result possible. And it\'s a fair expectation going into it. But at the end of the day, whether it is PMMA or silicone implants, your penis has been enlarged artificially and will almost always have some way of appearing so.

I agree with all you said, but there is one more important to consider.

The \"ugly\" thing is the unfilled space below the glans... the thing about Sizemic is that on his penis the shaft blends in to the Girth below the head. Its not as abrupt as the 90% of the pics I have seen here. It looks like their dicks are wearing a heavy coat and nothing around their skinny necks.

MAYBE there is something that people are doing wrong POST OP that makes them end up with this... and my guess is that its the EXTENDER. Its pure logic. The extender squeezes right in that area, and while it makes most of the shaft perfect, it doesnt allow the PMMA to stick there. How could you not agree with this?

It makes perfect sense!

I am in the same boat as Massive8. I am about to schedule the procedure, but I still plan on talking to the Dr about this aesthetic concern. The gap below the glans is not ok. And seeing that some people have NOT had this outcome, I would want to know exactly what was/can be done to avoid it. I would think that it makes sense to have the Dr taper the injected material so that it\'s less concentrated near the glans (I think that is what Sizemic requested, if I remember correctly). Dr. C certainly should be able to advise on the best way to achieve the desired result. I don\'t care if I have to go back 3 times getting 10% each time... the lifetime aesthetic is the most important factor to me.

From what I\'ve gathered, the gap varies per patient, and may have a lot more to do with out anatomical predisposition than any post-op (or lack of post-op) protocol. I\'ve read about guys who use an extender, and those who don\'t. I\'ve read about guys who hardly massaged their unit, whereas others massaged it aggressively. There is definitely a correlation between effective post-op work & aesthetic satisfaction, however I personally have not seen anything to suggest the \"gap\" itself could be avoided/eliminated. From my talks with Wade & Dr. C, it seems that some patients simply \"stick\" better than others.

The gap issue will probably become more apparent over time. Dr. C continues to refine his methodology, and Wade continues to examine the nuances of post-op protocol. And with the progress reporting found here on these forums, we may eventually (or may not) solve the gap dilemma. But in the meantime, the reality is that you can go into this procedure and develop some sort of gap no matter how true you are to your post-op regimen. The good news is, at least in the interim, that this gap can be improved (with various degrees of success) with follow-up touch-up appointments.

There also may be very recent developments I\'m not aware of. Most specifically, the kind of developments at the doctor\'s office. For all I know (it\'s been weeks since I\'ve chatted with Wade), Dr. C has found a way to mostly avoid and/or eliminate significant gapping. But if that isn\'t the case, then I\'ll stick to what I\'ve said already.

Aesthetic satisfaction will always be important, but we mustn\'t forget that there will always be varying degrees of artificiality in the appearances of a post-op penis. Know this before going under the knife/needle.

I am certainly not trying to create friction here, but I would have to agree with SO about the \"ugly comment\". I feel that is a really rude comment to make considering the company. Many of the men here have been through a lot and have finally had a chance to not feel ashamed of their penises. Comments like that are, in my opinion, only going to discourage members from posting their pics and progress and could also make them feel self conscious about something that they were finally able to feel good about. I respect your right to your own opinion, but think that maybe you could be a little more constructive and tactful in your comments.

I agree with you notsureyet, and SO. I think the comment by massive8 \"extremely ugly\" goes too far on a board where many men are already self conscious about the looks of their penises. I just think it could have been worded in a much less derogatory fashion, something like: to me it\'s not appealing at all, or I don\'t think the look is very attractive, or something not so cutting in nature. As far as the reason for the \"gap\" I think it is because the skin is different above where the circ. line is. To me it seems less elastic and therefore less accommodating to filling under it there. I have been trying to \"tug\" some Foreskin out for years as I was cut too tightly, and I can tell you that area under where the Foreskin was, is very hard to stretch out at all. Just my reasoning of it. It can probably take PMMA and enlarge there, but I would think it takes more force and substance to achive it, and probably a few rounds. I have a pretty big area ahead of the circ line, because I was cut so tight, so I bet I will end up with quite a gap when I get mine done.
