I apologize for not keeping up with my progress for having my implant replaced, but my situation has changed and it warrants a different thread. Initially, I found the implant to have a malleable \"hump\" towards the lower-left base. At this point (nearly 6 weeks out, resumed easy-going intercourse at 4 weeks), the malleable hump is now a malleable corner of the implant that\'s poking out. It doesn\'t hurt (probably due to the mesh and the softness of the implant), and I\'m able to function with it but obviously this is not a sustainable situation. I\'ve suffered no noticeable retraction, for which I\'m grateful. I want to have it removed, am thinking I would take a year to do some stretching and then regain some Girth via PMMA with Dr. C in TJ.I\'m bracing myself for the psychological fallout to be expected with Removal (losing the implant\'s function in increasing Flaccid length, and wondering what the excess skin will look like on my Erect penis). My wife has reassured me that she won\'t miss the implant because it\'s not me, and she already enjoyed me to begin with. While her words are kind, I know how much she enjoyed the Girth. My hope is to minimize all of my insecurities with progress achieved via stretching and ultimately PMMA.I wish to hell I had made my replacement surgery last month a Removal surgery, but unfortunately made an emotional and foolish decision. My wife has the patience of a saint in tolerating this roller coaster of poor decision-making, and it\'s not like I didn\'t have an entire forum of people warning me about this thing. Better to face up to reality sooner rather than later, and as Mark has succinctly stated hopefully other guys can draw from our experiences. Questions for those of you who have had the implant removed:Has anybody had this implant successfully removed on the East Coast? As my handle suggests, I\'m in the Northeast and would like to avoid having to travel to the West Coast all over again to get this defunct apparatus removed. When you have the implant removed, I\'m assuming you have some excess skin with erections, yes? If so, is the appearance alarming? Did you perceive it being noticeable for your partners during intercourse? When you have it removed, how soon before you can start stretching/pumping?What do you recommend for stretching and/or pumping, as I\'ve never gone this route?Does anybody have any idea how soon I could conceivably have this removed? It\'s been 6 weeks since I had it replaced.Does anybody have an idea of how soon I could have PMMA after having the implant removed? Can you stretch with PMMA, or is it best to stretch for a period of time before having PMMA?Thanks for any help you\'re able to send my way!

Sorry to hear about your problems and I\'m afraid I can\'t be of much help to you. My only advice is to forget about any further enlargement procedures for a while. Have the implant removed, stretch for many months and then see how you feel. Some guys have reported gaining Girth due to the scar capsule left over from the implant, so you may end up with a bigger Girth anyway. But don\'t rush into another procedure until you are fully healed both mentally and physically.

I spoke with Dr. Mark Solomon, and so far he seems like a leading contender. It costs $7,500 to have it removed, he was very straightforward about what was involved and mentioned having extensive experience with Removal of Elist\'s implant. This was key for me. He indicated that timing wasn\'t important, whether it was next week or 6 months from now. Has anybody had any experience having an Elist implant removed by Dr. Solomon?
