TOPIC: painful erections after surgery

painful erections after surgery 12 years 2 months ago #1272325421

For those that got a penilie impant/suspensory lig cut, how long did it take to full recover? I\'m almost 6 weeks post op and had a surgery where he had to made an incisioin right above the penis.

I can\'t stand up while i have an Erection or else the top of my penis will hurt like hell. Its not flexibleat all. I can\'t push my Erect penis up and make it point towards the ceiling when lying on my back because of the stiffness/pain at the base. Did you guys experience this as well?

Who did your surgery?
Pain at the end of the Erection (near the glans) is normal. The stitches are all across the top there. I still have very mild sensations with Erection. I say sensations because painful at this point would be excessive. I am 12 weeks post-op.
Oh wait a minute. I am reading your post again and see you are talking about the top as meaning near the base. Is this correct? If so do not bend your Erection up like that now or perhaps ever. Think of taking a straight rod and putting a layer on top of it. Then bend the middle up so it forms a frowny face. That will stretch the graft on top. The other (a smile) will cause it to bunch up and possibly break. You do not want this.
You are now beginning to experience some of what gets lost on this site. Namely, we all talk about size and success. What you are experiencing or realizing is the trade offs. Yes there is something foreign in there and it will feel different. And you will also be more limited in your movements. Does it suck? Yeah kind of. Is it livable? Yes. Do the doctors mention it? No.
I would be willing to be that other than infection none of the complications were mentioned. If they were no one would do the surgery.
I know that was a bit direct, but it is factual. In terms of pain...try to avoid pain wherever possible. Common sense should prevail. You will be able to have an Erection without pain. The area where the incision was made is tender and will not be fully recovered for 6 months. But you should not notice it within 3 months I would say. As far as bending it up? Maybe never. For now please do not do it. Think of your penis as straight out and Erect or Hanging down. I also recommend against pointing up when Flaccid and under pressure (such as underwear). I used to be most comfortable this way, but now, after an alloderm problem related to what you are discussing, I do not do that with the Belladerm graft.

Hey Medilook, welcome to the Centurion club (100 posts)! I was not aware you had any procedure done, pardon me if I somehow missed that in some prior post elsewhere.
You mentioned the implant, did you have the Elist prosthesis done? And you also had lengthening done too? Was this with the same doctor? Clarifying all this can help us better understand your situation.
Happy healing!

Ah yes. I assumed you had an allograft. If you had an implant my advice may be premature. Once you let us all know what you had specifically we can probably be of more assistance.

The OP says he got the implant so im assuming Dr Elist performed the surgery & yes, you will feel pain for the next several weeks. The night time erections are horrible, hang in there (no pun intended)
