TOPIC: Question about PMMA and previous Alloderm surgery

I had an alloderm graft done by Dr. Reed earlier this summer. The surgery itself was fine (although I tend to bruise easily with surgery), but have had some trouble since then with the graft. He had to use 2 strips to cover the entire length of my shaft, and the piece that was attached up towards the glans seems to have adhered just fine, but a few weeks after the procedure, the strip down towards the base I imagine broke loose/detached once the dissolvable Sutures got reabsorbed and the graft material shifted slightly to the side and over the past few months, has started to contract even more. You can\'t notice anything in the Flaccid state, but Erect, it\'s definitely a noticeable, palpable lump on the top aspect of the base of my shaft. I didn\'t get the Girth that I really thought I would after the procedure, and am a bit turned off on the idea of more alloderm considering this one piece has come loose.

I am intrigued by the success everyone has had with PMMA, and am wondering what anyone thinks about having some PMMA injected on either side of the alloderm piece that came loose to see if that might smooth out those edges, and from there basically build up the PMMA in layers on top of that to get the Girth that I want? I guess my other option would be to have that piece of alloderm that has shifted taken out, but really don\'t want to end up with another cut/scar on my shaft if I can help it. I\'ll see if I can post a picture of my predicament later on.

PMMA can be used to even out contours. Your best bet would be to send photos of your penis (including Erect shots showing the bulge) so they can provide you with a more thorough consultation on what to expect/how feasible it would be.
Have you talked Dr. Reed about your situation?

No haven\'t talked to him about it because it\'s not very feasible to me right now to be able to go there for a recheck. I live on the west coast now and it would be far easier financially and time wise to possibly see Casavantes. With flying, consultation, possible surgery and Dr Reed\'s requisite 3 to 4 days of bed rest after surgery means at least a week off of work which I wouldn\'t have probably til next year. The fact that Casavantes\'s procedure seems to be rather quick with little down time is a big positive.

How much Girth did you gain from the procedure? On Reed\'s blog I\'ve read 0.5 to 0.75 in Erect gain to be expected from alloderm. I\'ve never talked to a patient of Reed\'s so I have no idea how accurate that figure really is...

I\'d imagine you could take a few photos and email it to Dr. Reed\'s office, no? I mean you are already a patient of his, at the very least he could make some assessments on the severity of the issue without necessarily being conclusive/diagnostic.
The PMMA is definitely a low down-time procedure. One could conceivably get it done on a long lunch break lol - though I would not recommend that lol.

hey buddy,without seeing pics and just going on what u described, it sounds to me that u might be incorrectly diagnosing tge issues with your graft. i have the exact same \'bump\' at the base on top of shaft. that is actually where the two sides of the Belladerm/alloderm \'join\'. i noticed the graft literally move from being wrapped around the right and left sides if my penis and slide further and further toward the top of the shaft. now, for me, the sides have almost no graft at all. it basically sits on top of the shaft. it sucks. plus, for me, the corners of the graft on each side of the head stick out and are very niticeable. very disappointing. PMMA may be able to hide/cover/correct/smoth out the irregularities of the graft. i know a guy who just did PMMA last week and had bella done about 12-18 months ago. i will monitor his results as time goes on. hope this helps. pm me if u want.

Ok here are a few pics tonight that I took. I do have a bit of a curvature normally when Erect,although it looks a bit more severe in this pic than it really is.
