Holy shit. This is basically everything I went through a few years ago, almost line by line. As I was scrolling and saw you say the
Sutures dehisced, it was like PTSD from all the surgeries I had. I would pray every one would stay closed and then once it popped open - back to surgery again...with no end in sight.
I also went to every doctor I could find and tried every treatment imaginable. One was worse than the next until the main
Urologist- though he was very agressive. I was treating it as a FBG based on the initial pathologist\'s diagnosis & initial
Dermatologist - but it\'s not like a silicone FBG (though I took minocycline and did all of those treatments - would be better in your case than mine).
My wounds would not stay closed until large sections of skin were taken off and dissected and cleaned and dissected some more - before being put back together.
PMMA is very sticky to the
Dartos fascia and the wound wouldn\'t close with it in there. You could see my doc but he\'s very aggressive with how much skin he removed. I ended up getting the scrotal webbing \"reduction\" because I had such little shaft skin left on one side - it was hard to get
Erect without pain. So, the web became part of the shaft skin sort of - after that surgery. It wasn\'t really a reduction in the web - more like they used the web for the shaft. I\'m not sure where all of your ulcers are but that\'s a shortcut way to \"graft\" skin onto the shaft without taking it from another area that doesn\'t match.
Yeah that was about 2 years of pure hell. There\'s no other way to describe it. Peyronie\'s, like you said, was nothing compared to that period of my life. It never looked entirely normal again, but at least I am not walking around with open wounds anymore. There\'s no real shortcut - it just takes forever for the body to deal with this. I had some voluma put in to make up for the giant chunks of
PMMA my doctor cut out - but the scar bands from the excisions force the voluma into clumps (over months). So, it\'s not the most natural thing.
There was very little that actually helped, and I had 3 drawers full of every cream, supplement, prescription, etc... xeroform was the only thing that seemed to help a little (3% bismuth tribromophenate petroleum) though you\'d have to be careful not to macerate the wound edges with any of these things. Xeroform isn\'t that wet but some of the other ones are. With MRSA, I assume you\'ve been given mupirocin at this point. I read more of your posts and it sounds like the scrotal webbing reduction / (sliding up of the scrotal skin to give the shaft more skin) isn\'t going to work given the extent of the
Necrosis. The base of my shaft is mostly scrotal skin now (and hairy) and my
Balls noticeably smaller...but it helped with the problems after skin
Removal.
For people asking what
PMMA tissue looks like - it\'s just like a white sheath of collagen. It looks a little like chewing gum. There are pics I\'ve posted with nodules of
PMMA - they looked exactly like gum.
I\'ve been off the board for a while but there\'s a netflix documentary that made me think of this place - about unproven implants and medical devices called \"the bleeding edge\" and I just thought of all this again. Oh well Miracle you\'ve been able to sustain a much more positive attitude than I ever was so hopefully that can get you through this. Somehow I got to the end of it & I was single too. I almost don\'t even remember being depressed - just very angry toward everyone and everything. I don\'t think I actually recovered from that entirely.
