"Bryan Johnson, the biohacker and tech entrepreneur behind Project Blueprint, reportedly used Botox injections in his penis as part of his experimentation to improve nighttime erections and overall sexual health. Here’s how that could work:
? How Botox Works in General
Botox (botulinum toxin) is best known for relaxing muscles and reducing wrinkles. It works by blocking acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that tells muscles to contract. When injected into a muscle, it causes temporary relaxation.
? Why Use Botox in the Penis?
In the context of erectile function, the theory goes like this:
Smooth Muscle Relaxation:
Erections are largely about relaxation of the smooth muscle in the corpus cavernosum (the spongy erectile tissue). When these muscles relax, blood flows in and fills the tissue, leading to an
Erection.
Less Sympathetic Nerve Activity:
Botox might help by blocking overactive nerve signals that would otherwise keep the penis in a
Flaccid state. Less tension in the smooth muscle could improve blood flow and lead to stronger nocturnal penile tumescence (aka nighttime erections), which are an important marker of vascular and nerve health.
Potential Increase in Baseline Blood Flow:
Some small studies and anecdotal reports suggest that Botox could enhance baseline blood flow to the penis, possibly improving erectile quality or frequency.
? Scientific Evidence?
There are a few small studies (mostly early-phase or in animals) exploring intracavernosal Botox for men with erectile dysfunction (ED), especially when it’s resistant to traditional treatments like Viagra or
Cialis. The results are promising but very limited — it's not a mainstream or FDA-approved treatment yet.
⚠️ Risks and Controversy
It’s still very experimental:
Risk of unintended side effects (like long-term muscle relaxation or blood flow issues).
No long-term studies on safety or effectiveness.
Could cause tissue damage if not done properly.
So in short: Botox in the penis might improve nighttime erections by relaxing smooth muscle and improving blood flow, but it's an experimental approach with limited evidence. Bryan Johnson is basically turning himself into a human lab to test these theories."

Hm. Interesting.
Is this the same that is available in eg Tijuana, where they do it to have a lower
Flaccid hang? But never heard from someone reporting harder erections, but i guess it's hard to tell.
I guess one thing that's not practical is having to do it every few months, and i guess effect is not strong.
