@cav8000 i could see why you would want it removed, it\'s very noticeable. If i were you i would get PMMA to even it out and just have a bigger unit at the same time. Just a suggestion.

Herb Singh is in Texas. If not there is Gary Alter in LA.

Have you considered lipodissolve?

Interesting.. I do see that the FDA has not approved it. Are there any doctors in Texas who will inject this into the penis?

I doubt it. I don\'t even no if it would be effective.

But if I just had one lump of fat, I\'d risk injecting it myself, rather than go through surgery. That isn\'t advice, I\'m just saying what I\'d personally do.

To my knowledge, Dr Singh is the only surgeon who has removed the whole implant of a PMMA enhanced Penis ( by degloving )

Thanks for the recommendations on Dr. Singh. I called them and he can actually see me. His office personel is real nice and helpful too. I might go see him and see what he can do. Consultation costs $250 and I have to drive from dallas to austin. Might be worth it though if the DMSO doesn\'t work.

I wonder if Dr. Singh could inject Kybella? Does anyone know? Maybe I can ask him during my consultation. Are there any issues or side effects to Kybella?

Never mind. I checked the side effects from Kybella such as major swelling. I don\'t think any Urologist in their right mind would use that stuff on the penis.

I kept thinking this thing would go away on its own but it never did and now it bothers me more than it used to. I had the surgery done in Houston, TX so long ago that I don\'t have the surgeon\'s name any more. I would greatly appreciate any assistance that anyone here could provide. Are there any doctors out there who can remove a lump of fat?

I have injected transferred fat in the face many times just using steroid (Triamcinolone). Use it all the time in hypertrophic/keloid scars. Usually it takes a few injections to totally reduce. Injected fat seem much more susceptible than normal fat. MUCH less issues than Lipodissolve. Kybella is expensive for what you need - and i would be surprised if anyone doing Kybella would be thrilled with the idea of using it off-label like this so early in its release.

The only real issue is that you might get some broken capillaries. A family doctor could do it - if they have done steroid injections before (usually older or country doctors) or a cosmetic doctor.

Good luck.

Here is what I found online about steroid injections.

\"Steroid injections can often reduce inflammation but they cannot dislodge firm fat grafts that are composed of heavy fibrous (scar) tissue, rubbery grafts, or long-term inflammatory nodules, which must be removed surgically. Attempting to dislodge these nodules with steroid injections causes the more delicate tissues around the lumps to dissolve, creating a crater... with the Nodule still there.\"

The lump I have is most likely fat Necrosis that I have had for about 15 years. I think maybe surgical Removal might be the only way but I\'m not sure. It would be nice to get just an injection of something instead but I don\'t want to make it worse.

@cav8000 Do you have pictures of the lump or can you take a picture just to get a better idea of what it looks like?

I dont know what the source of that is but I have been a doctor for 26 yrs and doing cosmetic surgery for 16. I use a lot of steroid injections and am not afraid of them - but many doctors are.

When fat necroses it leaves fee oil that breaks down or gets infected and discharges. If it is just a remnant piece of fat then steroid is likely to help. If there is fibrosis steroid (combined with 5FU) is likely to help. But I would need to examine to really know. I operated on a girl a few months ago who told me her twin sister had fat taken out of the tip of her nose and she wanted me to do the same. I told her over and over we dont take fat out of the tip we reshape the cartilage. At operation she had fat infiltrating the lining of the tip cartilage in a way I had never seen before - so I took the fat out (like she asked for). So there is what I believe and have experienced and expect. Sometimes things are different. But I expect I would first look at steroid rather than surgery.
