Timeframe on visiting Dr. Chung has had a set back due to other work issues. Looks like I won\'t be able to get down there until late September now. I will post once I have had a consultation and if I decide to go for the HA in the glans, I will post before and after pics.

I called the clinic last week and asked about it. The receptionist told me that their Belafill product lasts about 5 years. She said on average 20 percent of the product could remain after. 5 years. They had a special going, 800 dollars for .8cc.

This product can be found all across the U.S. FDA-Approved PMMA does exist for Dermal Filler use. And you don\'t hear much about its use in the penis given, as gsxr pointed out, its cost. I\'m also not so sure the bovine carrier is ideal for penile application, but if anyone does end up getting work done strictly with Bellafill (previously Artefill), please share.

Wow, I just read the side effects of Artefill. I see what you mean Skeptical, cost doesn\'t really justify the product/service. It\'s not even safer than Metacrill and it costs more? I just assumed that it was less problematic (rejection, granulomas, nodules, uneveness) but nope. But maybe they changed the formula for Bellafill? Lol

The complications for Bellafill are virtually the same for Metacrill, and I\'m not sure there is anything conclusive suggesting one brand\'s safety over another. Nodules are a complication that can plausibly occur with ANY Dermal Filler or fat filler. Granulomas, while seemingly rare in the penis, still exist as a risk (with any PMMA brand). The only apparent advantage of Metacrill over Bellafill is cost & carrier, not safety or riskiness.

PMMA implants are semi-permanent. After 2 to 3 years, only 20% of the filler material will be permanently remained in tissues.\"So why are we being told this is permanent by Dr. C? Seems like most of it isn\'t. And other doctors have mentioned that 40 micron is absorbable. Is Metacril 100 micron size?

2-3 years? I\'m roughly 5 years from my first round and am thicker than a cucumber. The \"bigger\" question is why you aren\'t citing your sources? We have members from the same era, although most have vanished, those who continue to report have confirmed a 5 year permanency. If the size were to diminish at all, it wont happen until 5 years beyond...if at all...ever.

This is the 2nd time in less than a week I\'ve seen posts with unsubstantiated claims. Let me make this clear: if there is ANY reason to believe or confirm without a doubt that PMMA isn\'t what we all thought it was (a permanent, effective, and *relatively* safe Dermal Filler for penile enhancement), I\'d be the first to want to know. Until then, learn to cite your sources and learn to make strong arguments. As a person who has this \"stuff\" injected into him, I really can\'t stand poor conjectures and cheap talk. What happened to the PhalloBoards of old?

.... It\'s cited from the website.. we\'re all talking about in this thread. I thought it was obvious so I just used quotations. The doctor in California says \"PMMA implants are semi-permanent. After 2 to 3 years, only 20% of the filler material will be permanently remained in tissues.\'\' She injects Bellafill. Also Dr. Cho in Korea says it\'s semi permanent. If 20% stays then yes some of it permanent. But 80% is not. That\'s why multiple procedures are necessary. 3 procedures would give you 60% total Pmma left after 2-3 years.

Then you can read here where other doctors say differently. www.realself.com/question/confused-artefills-permanence

One doctors however says \"Artefill lasts 5-10 years, which is long enough to call it a \"permanent\" filler. After all, your facial contours continue to change over that period of time and the need for additional correction may have little to do with what was done 5-10 years earlier. Most people who need a touchup years after having Artefill placed find they only need a very small amount.Be sure to see someone who has a lot of experience with Artefill. Permanent fillers can cause permanent problems.\"

Anyways you can talk about your \"cucumber sized penis\", very mature by the way, but the fact is some doctors say it\'s semi- permanent. Maybe they just say that because that\'s what the studies say and legally they call it what the studies do. Anyways the doctor in California that does this procedure say\'s ti semi permanent and 20% stays.

It\'s been at least a couple of years since I have commented on this board, however SO is correct. I have not lost any Girth or length after doing two rounds of PMMA with Dr. C, last round was in 2012. I think this is pretty common, so why the semi-permanent statement? My guess would be this is a CYA statement to try and stave off any future lawsuits.

I am interested in her HA for the glans. I did this myself 4 years ago (I do not recommend self-injecting). I can attest to the reduction in premature ejaculation. The HA I did has finally almost disappeared, so I will be doing this again, but this time I will be using a professional to do this. I will be in San Jose in two weeks, I will try to setup a consultation and report back.

@neverendingjourney

In the same realself link, there are doctors who say IT IS permanent... and unless whatever article you find explains the mechanism by which the body eradicates the PMMA, there is no reason to believe it is semi-permanent. Furthermore, the product has been around as a Dermal Filler for longer than 10 years, and to date, there isn\'t any substantiated report showing that the product fails & absorbs after this time.

And I alluded to a cucumber to point out that I have had zero loss in size, maybe not the most tactful choice of words, but it was intended to point out how I have never felt the need to have a top-off of product. That is because it has not gotten any thinner/smaller.

I finally talked with Anna at Jenesis. Dr. Chung is not currently in the country, I was told she is in Asia attending a plastic surgery conference for the next couple of weeks. So no use in doing a consultation at this time. I will be back in the San Jose area in June/July, so I will setup an appointment for that time and report back.

Belafill is only FDA approved for 5 years due to the excessive cost to run trials...and running a trial for 10 years would be outrageously expensive and stall revenue for 10 years. They are basing that on Artefill studies (Same basic product as belafill) In reality, It lasts longer. Also, most docs don\'t see the same patients 5-10+ years later...so they might say it\'s only semi-permanent on realself but there are enough studies showing that it is still there decades later. One specific study that comes to mind was a woman who had interferon for cancer or hepatitis, and that caused the rejection of PMMA - which was injected a very long time ago. I can\'t seem to find the article though.
