TOPIC: Peno Scrotal Web / Scrotum Reduction Surgery - Can members please share their knowledge/experience? Dr. Alter a good choice?

Hi everyone,I'm a new member to this forum! I'm planning on getting a peno-scrotal web surgery done. So far I have consulted with Dr. Alter in Los Angeles, and a Urologist in my hometown who specializes in male genitourinary reconstructive surgery and trauma (urethral stricture disease, buried penis, treating fourniers gangrene, etc)

This surgery for me is not cosmetic but something that I have to do due to an issue I have on my scrotum and lower shaft skin that requires me to get surgery. It just so happens, that most of the issue is on the peno-scrotal web. I have never had any surgery done on that area before.My main concerns with the surgery are:The scarring (how noticeable is it? i've heard the scrotum heals well)Losing penis functionality and getting Erectile Dysfunction from getting surgery doneLosing penis lengthThe healing process (how extensive the swelling is before it heals, infections, hematomas, etc)So, I wanted to reach out to the people on this forum and request if you could please share your knowledge/experience on this.
Have any of you had peno-scrotal web, scrotum reduction, or a similar surgery done with Dr. Gary Alter or another Dr? Have any of you had any type of surgery with Dr. Gary Alter? And how did that go?It would be great if you guys could please share your experience, with or without pictures if you\'re comfortable sharing how it scarred or healed over time.
I saw some users like Big BlueBalls and Androguy had webbing surgery with Dr. Alter but didn\'t posted pictures.

I\'ve outlined some of my pros and cons from consulting with both doctors.

Dr. AlterProsMany years of experience doing penoscrotal websPeople on this forum don't seem to have anything bad to say about himConsHe had a bit of an attitude that I wasn't expecting when we consulted, but I think it's because he is very confident and doesn't want to waste time with silly questionsI hope he gives as much care after the surgery is booked that he gives before the surgery. I'm worried that since he is a private practice that he might not feel the need to respond as much after the surgery is done. Whereas the other doctor is backed by a hospital and is obliged to give more care. So I was wondering if Dr. Alter's care is just as good after the surgery is completed as well?He is located away from my state, so I will have to stay in a hotel and leave after 5 days or so, and can't be treated immediately if any issues come up after that Reconstructive Urologist from my hometown ProsHe is specialized in male genitourinary reconstructive surgery and trauma. He only really removes scrotum skin if there is some trauma or issue with it, so he doesn't do as many of them per year probably. So the attention to making the scar look good without any dog-ears might not be as goodYoung for a doctor (just over 40 years old). Whereas Dr. Alter has been doing Urology since the 80s

What does your gut tell you?

I would probably stay with Dr. Alter - you don\'t have to live with him after the five days are over - so his attitude issue isn\'t really an issue. They have heard it so many times before, the same questions, and the answers that they give are pretty much the same for the same questions WHEN the patient situation is relatively similar.

If you go with doctor #2 and you are not happy with the results, you\'re going to see another doctor again anyway. So I say just stick with the expert in THAT field of peno-scrotal webbing correction.

Another option is Karen Boyle, she is specialized in the aesthetics as much the procedure.
Plus you get some eye candy with her and her staff, young good looking nurses.
