TOPIC: Opting for full detachment with already deformed/damage ligs

Opting for full detachment with already deformed/damage ligs 8 years 3 months ago #1290628737

First post guys. I have weakened ligs on my right side, along with a curvature near the base. Urologist says I have the gap sign when palpated when I saw him for \"penile curvature\" couple of years back. I also have muscular dystrophy that affects my hip girdle so the base is already inherently weak. Has anyone one with a congenital or traumatic damage to their PSLs opted for a full detachment instead of reattaching it? I already have some body images issues due to my disability and rather not lose length due to reattachment.

Also, lookin at doctor Osama Shaeer\'s work, any experiences?

What is full detachment? Do you know if that is similar to the general lig. cut surgery? Is the weakened side the same side that curves or does it curve in an opposing direction? Sorry for your trouble, had my ligs cut in the usual procedure that is given for length, but not sure if yours is an entirely different procedure. I don\'t know about that doctor, I went to Reed but someone else might. xd

Yup! I basically meant snipping them off like the general lengthening procedure. I also have a proximal downward curvature so I\'m afraid to lose significant length if they botch the reattachment.

Does anyone know if there are surgical procedures or implant that can hold out and support the penis from retreating internally? Besides lig reattachment.

So your choices are reattaching one lig or cutting the other?
Given those 2 choices I would go with detaching the lig rather than reattaching the other one. I didn\'t lose any stability from having it done. You may even get some length as opposing to losing length. I don\'t know too much about this procedure other than having it done - but not well versed on the anatomy of it. I have had no complications, although I know other people have, but I am satisfied from the operation. I would just say don\'t opt for the VY cut. I would discuss with Alter and or Reed and see what they say as you have a more complicated case. I am not sure what the advantage would be of reattaching..It seems like most guys on here have entertained having them cut. This may not be too helpful, I don\'t want to give you bad advice.
