Hi everyone,
Just wanted to start off by saying that Dr Casavantes and Wade were incredible. Everything about the clinic and them as people surpassed my expectations hugely. They made massive alterations to their schedule for me and dedicated pretty much the whole day for me as my situation is a unique one.

I went to have PMMA for a deformed tricep muscle due to a tendon tear. This was tricky due to the scar tissue and trying to create a symmetry but they both worked really hard to get this done properly.
The first day and first few days in fact I was ecstatic with the results. Some swelling to be expected but the volume increase was exactly what I was after.

This is one week ago, but the last day or two the volume has decreased quite significantly.
This has me worried, Wade did say that full results will take a couple of months and I knew that through research, he also mentioned the carrier and water would subside in the next few days after treatment.

So was the volume increase I saw simply due to Intramuscular water? the carrier filling out the muscle and will the size/volume I\'m seeing now be the end-result?

I\'m hoping the collagen formation takes it back to a bigger size/volume and what I\'m seeing now isn\'t the end result in terms of size.

I\'ve read through a lot of threads but I can\'t seem to find the answer to this and I really didn\'t want to start a thread asking silly questions but I\'m struggling to find an answer.
Just wanted some honest experiences.

Thanks guys and much appreciated.

I posted this way down in someone\'s thread, but it\'s worth re-posting.

The process of PMMA building collagen in your body is like getting a splinter. The little microscopic beads are telling the body to wall off all the PMMA with scar tissue (collagen) because it is foreign. This process takes a long time (months - not 6 weeks like they say). Also, the inflammation alone lasts for 1-2 months, though it\'s most severe in the first week. You will have micro-inflammation for months until it is \"final. Finally, since everyone heals differently, these timelines that I just stated will fluctuate from person to person (and even for you - depending on how your body is doing).

Also, think about PMMA. It takes 5 CCs of something to equal 1 teaspoon. If you got 24ccs of 10%, that is 2.4 ccs of pure PMMA beads. This is 1/2 teaspoon. If put salt into 1/2 teaspoon (which is much larger than PMMA, but it will give you an idea) - and spread it out through the target area - that\'s all you have for your body too react to. How strongly it reacts is totally up to your body. I had 2x this much in Round 2 and barely anything happened at all.

This is a complicated process and the timelines on here are all over the place due to individual variation in healing. Some people have low points. Some don\'t. Some gain 1/2\" easily 15 ccs ...some gain nothing from the same amount (usually in later rounds, though - Round 1 you gain the most). Many other people have noticed changes months later, and some even posted about changes as far as 9 months. My body had a much stronger reaction to linnea safe than metacrill, but unfortunately all my \"growth\" was just in nodules...and not spread evenly.

If you get a low point, it will be between 3-5 weeks...and then it will probably grow more up through 2-3 months. The balance between swelling and growth is too unclear for anyone to know what the product has done until about 4-6 months later. Most people gain the most in Round 1, so it\'s worth it to get a higher percentage in that round. You were seeing lymphatic fluid in the first week, for the most part - as your body was healing. The carrier was also in there, gradually leaving. You still have inflammation on a microscopic level - it is just less obvious on a macroscopic level. I had nodules removed at 8 weeks and the pathologist identified hundreds of inflammatory cells. The process certainly was not over at 8 weeks.

You never saw the \"end result\" - what it looks like swollen is not the end result. Many many guys post their Dick pics when they are swollen, and nobody ever looks like that when the swelling is gone and the penis is done growing into the PMMA. For example - swelling made me think I gained 1\" Girth in Round 1. I gained more like 0.25-0.5 in the end.

Sorry for the dissertation - I just want to try to explain the science behind it more for guys so they know what is really going on.

It\'s just a waiting game now - I\'m sure if you followed everything they told you and the scar isn\'t going to push the PMMA out (which happened on my Dick in 1 area) - then you\'ll be good in a couple months. Not sure if muscles need touch up rounds though.

Thank you so much for the reply Restoration, it\'s extremely helpful.
I guess I have to play the waiting game and see how the collagen formation turns out in the coming months.
I didn\'t expect the initial swelling to resemble the end result but I did expect the collagen formation to form a better level of size and volume than I\'m currently seeing.
I\'m hoping the forming collagen will see the size increase.
an increase of 0.5inches on the tricep muscle would be amazing. He did place the PMMA evenly through each tricep head totalling to over 50cc\'s (divided into 3 heads)

Thanks again for the reply and any others are also appreciated.

Did they use 30% on the muscle? How\'s that done? It sounds interesting. It\'s not actually inside of the muscle fibers, is it? I think Wade has that in there too, and he looks pretty natural...Dr. C too if I remember.

I think you\'ll feel better about it at the 6 week mark, and then it\'ll change about 20% as it settles up to 3 months..give or take a few weeks.

50cc of 30% is a lot - you\'ll have some good results, especially if it was linnea safe. Metacrill went through some inconsistencies on the board, though who knows what the real story is. I had limited results from it...but it was also R2.

Yes, it was actually 40cc\'s (sorry my mistake) but it was divided into three tricep heads - the lateral which runs along the arm from the the front on, the long head which is the back of the tricep linked to the shoulder/back and medial head which is close to the elbow.
It looked great the first few days. soft of course but the volume actually increased the vascularity. pushed the muscle right up against the skin.

a lot of it was actually in the muscle belly, yes. but some of it had to be done subq as the muscle tear caused the muscle to retract and the lower portion couldn\'t hold on to solution.

I\'m just hoping that in a month or so the collagen formation will begin to re-fill the muscle and it takes on at least some of the volume I saw the first few days, because even today volume has decreased. It\'s decreasing more and more everyday which is depressing!

I think it\'ll be fine. I don\'t know if members here have posted muscle pics, so I\'d be really curious if you have them or would post them.

Your body is still starting to recognize that you have PMMA there. Then, the fibroblasts have to form the collagen matrix around all of it. Imagine getting a cut on your finger (deeply) - if you healed in a week w/o any scar, that would be really bizarre. The process is similar in this case. Six weeks is what they tell penile patients, so I am sure it would be similar.

So putting PMMA beads in the muscle itself is safe and doesn\'t compromise function? That\'s kinda fascinating.

Thanks for that buddy, reassuring actually to read that.
Yes, most of the solution was injected deep intramuscularly and has no impact on muscle function.
I\'ll post pics later this week but may wait for a month or so for a better before-after comparison.
