The Grand Hotel is in the same building as Dr. C and is very close to the border. Diana, Dr. C\'s office staff member, will arrange the shuttle for you once you provide her your flight times and days and your deposit is paid.

They can arrange for the shuttle to pick you up in san diego (at the airport or at a hotel) and take you to the office as well (and back to the airport or hotel), but every round trip is $120-$150. So, every time you visit the office, it will get expensive and time consuming. Crossing into the USA can take up to an hour, even with the medical pass.

The Grand Hotel and the immediate area around are actually rather safe. I have had two procedures so far and both of the time I stayed at the Grand hotel without any issues.

Dr. C\'s office is only a few minutes away from the hotel - which means getting back to your hotel room to recuperate is hassle free, and getting your post-procedure check up is just as easy. There is a convenience store across the street mall area where you can pick up some water, and there are few places near the hotel where you can get something to eat as well (all in short walking distance).

Stores around the hotel will also accept US Dollars, so you don\'t have to deal with getting your currency exchanged and such. Oh, and if you want to pick up some Viagra pills for recreational uses, you can pick them up at the pharmacy which happens to be in the same building in where Dr. C\'s office is (About 4 bucks per pill and no prescription required)~.

Has anybody used Uber in Tijuana? I\'m thinking of just dropping my car off at the border parking lot and walking across the land crossing and taking a cab or Uber to Dr. C\'s office. Thoughts?

I have been planning my 1st Dr C. visit for a while. My appointment is next week !!!!I was going to get the shuttle they provide till I researched it, it seems easiest to just get dropped off by the border, walk across, and catch a cab. Then just take the shuttle back to the US for $70.I dont want to play around with the way back, so yeah im getting their shuttle. My only concern is that I dont have a passport but the tell me I dont need one, at the most my just my birth certificate.Im a Black country boy, I doubt they would deny im a US citizen, PLUS I plan on wearing my Carolina Panther Jersey.... If there is anyone that has had some border crossing issue or has some better tips, please inform me. thanks

Bruce Leroy - Proof of CitizenshipAmericans without passports or special documents also can return across the border from Tijuana with two proofs of citizenship, according to Frommer\'s. The most common documents include a driver\'s license and birth certificate, though documents such as military identification also work. Travelers 18 and younger must have a birth certificate if they are crossing without a passport.Good Luck 2 cents keep us posted. I thought all Black Country boys were born with the PMMA? No? haha--

I used the shuttle service to and from the office. Very easy, no worries. That would be my suggestion, but if you want to take a cab or uber to the border, I guess that would work. Just much less hassle taking the shuttle both ways, unless you already have a car in the area.

I would make sure to have multiple documents with me to get back in. It should not be an issue, but if you do not have a passport they can choose to detain you, which can take quite a while.
