TOPIC: Quick question regarding dopplar ultrasounds?

Quick question regarding dopplar ultrasounds? 9 years 5 months ago #1284694064

first off are dopplar ultrasounds and ultrasound of the penis the same thing? (may be a stupid question just thought I\'d ask)

and 2 do they pick up scar tissue, if I had a penile fracture ( and never got surgery) though probably would be scar tissue right though both my dopplar\'s came back normal (according to the uros) So I ask do dopplar\'s pick up scar tissue?

and if not do MRIs or any sort of imaging techniques?

I\'m pretty sure that a doppler reliably checks blood flow into your penis. If you have arterial issues, the doppler should pick it up. Everything else, from outflow to scar tissue, might not register. Scar tissue in the penis is so tricky. Usually doctors will just palpate for it but it isn\'t always easy to find.
