Peyronie's disease reduced girth 1" - considering PMMA but worried about more scarring & collagen plaque 10 years 11 months ago #1278047928

Hey - well, my title said it all... Basically, I\'ve had this nightmare for 3 years. I have lost 30-40% of my Erect penile size, even with viagra. I was a tiny bit longer than average to start, so now I just have a slightly shorter than average penis...but my Girth is another story... I have a pencil Dick. My Erect Girth is in the 4\" range 4.5 on a good day...it\'s not pretty. Length is around 5-5.5. I used to be 7 x 5. Yep... and add a 40 degree curve there. And I am in my 30s...PD mostly happens 50+ but I lucked out with that.

I have tried everything to get the PD to go away from Verapamil shots to Pentoxifyline to very strange things like Accolate (asthma med that inhibits scar tissue in breast implants) to traction to pumps. Nothing has worked. Xiaflex is on the market this fall (I think) but that has its own risks & they never reported any penile size changes. They only measured the curve which only improved 30-40%. But, I am still going to try to get it.

Here\'s my concern w/ PMMA. First - it seems like it will stimulate and/or bind with collagen. Well, that is exactly how my plaque formed and gave me PD. I have too much collagen (that is a plaque) on the dorsal surface of my penis. So, if I had PMMA injected, wouldn\'t it worsen things? It seems like you are all fine - but (not to scare anyone) it hasn\'t been that long from what I am reading. Also, what happens to the actual PMMA spheres? Aren\'t they fundamentally the same thing as the bone paste used in craniofacial surgery? I know someone that has PMMA on their skull as a Repair/reconstruction.

In a dream world - I\'d get 8 shots of xiaflex first to straighten things out a bit...and then reconstruct the damage with PMMA... the thought of this is the only thing keeping me sane for the past 3 years I have had PD.

My Urologist said \"absolutely not\" - but he says that to anything cosmetic. He\'s a leading PD doc - but he is also very conservative. I also read about a paper from Korea where they injected (i think) Restylane sub q... but I haven\'t heard much since then. That is temporary, I know, but it seems safer than PMMA.

Well, thanks for any thoughts. Having a deformed penis for 3 years has been pretty shitty...so when I found this board & saw guys who were getting good results from filler, it was like a mini prozac shot.
