TOPIC: Diminishing Girth post-PMMA.

Diminishing Girth post-PMMA. 12 years 5 months ago #1273938631

Personally it wouldn\'t concern me at all if it happened in the first 6 months. I\'ve had so many surgeries now, but it\'s only for the last couple that I\'ve really come to grasp just how long it takes swelling and inflammation to go down. I had rock hard tissue just below my Frenulum for about 8 months before it eventually settled down. Given that foreign body reaction is basically what PMMA is about, I can imagine that in many cases it could take several months or even longer before the final result is seen.

I have theorized that the collagen is dynamic in nature (of course after some readings) which means is is always changing, and that the swelling takes a long time to really go away, more then the initial 6 weeks they used to recommend. The body and immune system also take time to fully adjust to PMMA in it. Add temperature variations, age, sexual arousal, diet, mood swings and you have a complex matrix to effect Girth!

I\'d mentioned in my most recent update that I had thought I\'d started losing Girth after several months but after finally taking the time to measure I was surprised to find I was virtually the same size as I was at 2 months.

What is different is the texture. It\'s much softer and pliable, like nature tissue, so this may have played a part in making me believe I had lost Girth.

I also believe that some of my experience was mental. Over time, having gotten used to the new size, I became desensitized to the increase and was lured into thinking I\'d lost Girth.
