I’m wanting to get a permanent penis filler but I’m skeptical on the effectiveness and safety of the procedure so i’m willing to wait Some years for the technology to improve. In the meanwhile I’m curious to get words of advice from people that have gotten the permanent procedure done and which clinics are best recommended. Any words of advice and experience are appreciated

Hi, glad that you’re logging into the board. I think guys on here who have had the procedure done can really offer you a lot of advice, but I’m going to offer advice from a treating physician perspective.

First, if you’re concerned about safety or the procedure itself, I would strongly consider starting with a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler. These are very long-lasting—you can expect two to three years of benefit—and they are 100% reversible. They are also extremely effective. I’ve treated many patients, including close friends, and the satisfaction level is consistently very high. Before and After photos

As far as permanence, there is really only one option. You didn’t mention where you’re based, but in the U.S. the only permanent filler is PMMA (Bellafill). It has been FDA-approved for nearly two decades. For penile girth enhancement, it is used off-label, which is an important distinction to understand.

There are drawbacks to permanent fillers, and that’s a conversation you should have in detail with any provider you’re considering. In my opinion, the primary drawback of PMMA is the risk of granulomas. That risk is low, but it is not zero, and it is inherent to the nature of PMMA. There are ways to reduce the risk, but it cannot be eliminated entirely. In the clinical trials of Bellafill the chance of a granuloma was about 1/20.

My final advice: don’t wait years if this is something you’re seriously considering. One of the most common things I hear from patients after treatment is that they wish they had done it sooner. That said, continue talking to guys on here, get multiple perspectives, and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Thanks for the information and yeah I’m based in the US and for reasons of cost efficiency I’m looking into PMMA; However I’ve also heard of a strategy where the first inject HA into the shaft and then at a later time they inject the PMMA. I think this supposedly lowers the risk of granulomas but i’ve yet to do more looking about it. But yeah i’ll just do some looking around and see if any dudes have had any repercussions from PMMA since that what’s most likely I’ll end up picking

That is a strategy we use. What I actually prefer to do is inject a mix of HA and PMMA at the same time. I believe the HA slows the exposure of the PMMA to the immune system and may reduce the risk of granuloma formation. In addition, the combination produces a very natural-looking result. Dr. S
