TOPIC: Help Choosing HA Provider Tampa

Help Choosing HA Provider Tampa 1 month 1 day ago #1308723772

Hi,

I'm torn between two providers in the Tampa area looking for some advice. One is PhalloFILL and the other is Solomon Cosmetics, the former run by a Urologist and the latter a Plastic Surgeon. Solomon is slightly more expensive but there's no massive difference. My concern lies with the two different approaches:

PhalloFILL:
* Max of 6 units per sessions with 3-4 week between sessions. So for say 20 units we're looking at about 3 months before the procedure is completed
* If I'm happy with my size early then I can keep remaining units for touch ups later on
* Provides a sleeve that needs to be worn post-procedure for a few weeks

Solomon:
* 10 or 15 units total and all injected in one session
* 2 week follow-up to verify everything is in order
* No sleeve provided but instead there's a gauze to wrap around to ensure things settle correctly

In both cases a unit is 1.2ml vial of filler.

My top concern of course is safety. Having a single session and being done sounds nice but does 10+ units increase risk? How important is the sleeve?

I would appreciate some any thoughts and suggestions!

Thank you!

Yes, it absolutely raises your risk of developing nodules, granuloma, and/or aesthetic irregularities. After having performed these Girth enhancement injections for over 20 years now, we have found that "low and slow" is the way to go if you want to avoid complications.

I see this slightly differently. Using six units per session and spacing treatments three to four weeks apart does reduce the chance of irregularities at each visit, and any small issue can be corrected at the next session. Delivering 10–15 units in a single session does carry a modestly higher risk of irregularity or nodularity, but in many cases the entire amount integrates smoothly without problems.

Spacing treatments out guarantees multiple visits over a longer period. Doing 10–15 units at once creates a strong possibility that no follow-up will be needed, though you should expect the possibility of a touch-up.

A key point you should consider is the filler being used. Fillers differ greatly: some last longer, some have shorter duration, some are more prone to clumping, others far less so. The filler I believe is being used here is, in my opinion, technically easier to work with and has a lower risk of clumping or bumpiness, but it also has a shorter duration of effect.

Both approaches—six units spaced out or 10–15 units at once—are reasonable and low risk. The decision ultimately comes down to your preference and your physician’s technique and comfort.

Thank you both for your responses! That's very helpful. I'll go to PhalloFILL for a consultation and make my decision. I'm pretty sure I'll go with the "low and slow" approach.
