I'm on the fence about adding PRP injection to my first PMMA appointment next month. The logic seems sound for it helping with swelling/inflammation during recovery, but I'm really interested to hear the experiences of people who've had it. Especially if they've had a session with & without PRP for comparison. It's about a $500 difference at the clinic I'm going to, so if it doesn't make a huge difference I'd rather just put the money towards my next filler appointment.

I think most of my patients are surprised at how easy the recovery is from the procedure. Sure you are a bit lumpy, swollen maybe bruised for 1 week but that is about it. My advice to patients is invest your money in filler rather than PRP (unless you are a crypto-millionaire then I would say do both)\

I did the PRP plus Botox prior to my second session. I think the difference was negligible. Flaccid hang was a little better, but so not worth the money. Of course mine was a little more than $500.
