33 year old, got PMMA Linnea Safe in Feb. 2025, only 1 round of 21ccs in total. I am currently on TRT and I get routine blood exams for my TRT levels and for my kidney function. Just curious if anyone has had any issues getting these blood exams done while having PMMA Linnea Safe? Does the PMMA throw off your blood exams or show up on your blood exams? Is that something that I should disclose with my doctor before the blood tests are drawn? Thank you.

Well as I understand it, there are two reasons you won't have issues getting blood work with PMMA:

  1. In layman terms, the PMMA microspheres are encapsulated in a layer of your skin and don't circulate through your bloodstream, and thus wouldn't show up on a blood test.
  2. The tests you take are looking to detect or measure things, so it wouldn't even know if PMMA was in your blood in the first place (and it wouldn't, since it will not take long to see some serious complication like Necrosis or embolism).

I have had many physical exams (i.e. bloodwork) since my first round of injections in 2011 (and my last round circa 2015), and never has the need to bring PMMA up (nor have I been asked). However, if a Physician does ask (regardless if it has no relation to your bloodwork), you should tell him or her. You never know the reason why they may inquire about such a thing, and it's vital your Physician is privy to your total health profile (besides, they are bound by HIPAA and your privacy is safe).
