Is this dangerous or can I wait until my 3rd round to inject Kenalog?
It could actually be a
"shelf" or
"ridge," anomalies less common than nodules. I'd know, I had one my self, and with some minor
Revision & time, has been gone for well over a decade now.
That said,
it could be a granuloma, but you'll want to have that diagnosed on your next visit. I wouldn't be alarmed based on your photos alone, unless:
- You had it performed by a non-Sponsor, because I can't vouch for whether or not they are using unapproved fillers or filler mixes which may have a higher incidence of granuloma formation.
- This area presents new symptoms or worsens in any of these following ways: pain, swelling, continued growth, reddening, and the appearance of other "shelf-like" features on the shaft.
Not to say that either of those two bullet-points are
dangerous in the traditional sense, but would warrant reaching out to your Provider. Looking through your post history, it seems like you went with a trusted Provider in
Avanti Derma, so you most certainly have medical grade
PMMA injected, that is good news. This does not absolve your situation of the granuloma-risk, but it is good to know you were performed on by an ethical provider.
Secondly, the pictures remind me so much of my own
"shelf" which I had toward the bottom of my shaft just above the
Balls, and it wasn't a
"dangerous" thing for me at all. This is why I think that if this aesthetic irregularity doesn't worsen (like in ways I outlined in the 2nd bullet-point above), you're fine waiting till your next appointment assuming it's not too far out. If you need additional reassurances, you can reach out to
Avanti Derma, because my advice is coming from personal experience and not meant to be interpreted as Medical Expertise.
