I want to schedule appointment with AD but I also want to get veneers during that same time while in TJ. Will doing both of those procedures in the same week conflict with each other? Will healing or medicine I have to take for the procedures have a negative effect? Has anyone done this before?

I'm sure you're fine if they're on separate days.

Ask the dental clinic what medications you'll be on during and after. Provide that to Avanti and I'm sure Dr C or someone will assist you. Medical tourism is beyond common there and I'm sure many, many do this. But ask the dental office what medications.

From Avanti it's not too crazy. After its just an anti inflammatory I believe. Been awhile though

when i got veneers ~20 years ago there was no special medicine i was taking, and not even any precautions i was given around blood thinners. Local anesthesia, they ground down my two front teeth, tacked on the veneers, go home and dont drink anything that would stain them. Not even any pain reliever.

Likewise when i got my HA a few years back he just prescribed an antibiotic and sildenafil (because i asked for it).

I think both would likely tell you to talk to your doctor if you're on blood thinners but that's about it.

Hello @Bigdog72
Not a problem.
We have many patients who come to multidisciplinary procedures and consultations. Dental is possibly the most common one.
Ideally, book your procedures on different days and inform both doctors.

As a precautionary measure, it's advisable to avoid dental work or immunizations for four weeks after filler injections and one week prior. This strategy aims to minimize the risk of adverse reactions associated with filler procedures. Invasive dental procedures can lead to bacteremia, where bacteria enter the blood and may attach to dermal fillers as biofilms. Biofilms are clusters of bacteria that form a protective barrier, making them hard to eradicate and potentially causing inflammatory reactions around the filler. Over the years I have seen individuals who underwent dental cleaning immediately after filler injections were more prone to experiencing adverse reactions. Similarly, a filler reaction can occur following a vaccine administered shortly after the procedure. These responses are well documented in the medical literature. I would strongly advise you to space these procedures. Not what you wanted to hear but better safe than sorry.
