I'm curious whether anyone on this forum knows about use of Sculptra, PLLA, for Girth enhancement. I found a few MDs offering it.

Were any of these doctors in the US? If so, can you tell who. I couldnt find any after a cursory google search.

From my initial and modest research, it seems like Sculptra acts similarly to Ellanse. A semi-perm collagen stimulator. I could be very wrong here so someone correct me if so.

If Sculptra does in fact as like this, then I would be happy to spend some $$ on a reputable state-side clinic if they were to offer it.

Isn't Radiesse along those lines? I know some do that. Including the one I'm seeing.

I'm in talks with a new Sponsor who is quite familiar with Sculptra, as well as using it in a very innovative way, quite interesting to be honest. I would much prefer they elaborate if they come on board. If not, I'll see what information I can get with respect to Sculptra (made of polylactic acid instead of Hyaluronic Acid) and Girth Enhancement.

justn8 - IIRC Radiesse has a collagen stimulating effect in the duration time span of most HAs. If I'm wrong here, and its actually the case that Radiesse's created collagen lasts much longer, then please someone correct me. I would be very interested in it if that were the case.

Im hoping that Sculptra's collagen formation lasts similarly long to Ellanse, which I think has been consistently reporting to last longer than HAs, but Ellanse has the downside of not being reversible.

I guess we will find out in the near future what Sculptra is all about.

Thank you to Skeptical for diving into this.

There is a clinic in Phoenix and I might have seen another in Florida. I was just doing a Google search out of curiosity. Sculptra (PLLA) is considered a biostimulator just like Ellanse (PCL) and Radiesse (CaHA). From my research they all work to stimulate collagen growth but also are not dissolvable unlike HA. Sculptra is primarily advertised for facial aesthetic improvement and takes usually several months to grow collagen to create a visible improvement. It usually done for 2-3 treatments and can last around 2 years in the face. I'm just trying to gather more info as far as options. It may not be as cost effective as Bellafil in the long run, if someone is keeping things state side. I think more options is a good thing though and would be interested to hear more about from the potential sponsor.
