Hello everyone,

I am new here and just made my appt. at Avanti for 3/9. I spoke with Dr. C because he said Ian was on vacation and he was helping out. He asked a few simple questions and then told me to go ahead and schedule an appt.
Could anyone tell me what the intake process is like once you arrive? Are there any drug interactions that they would be concerned about? I dont take anything except HRT and HCG. Otherwise healthy, young and in shape. Im trying to make sure that i dont go down there and then find out im not a good candidate.
Also, can anyone tell me how long i need to rest after the procedure? I will have 4 days of rest then will need to walk several miles per day after that. Nothing physical other than walking.

If you see Chapter 5 (page 11 of the PDF) in their 2023 Brochure , you'll see what qualifies as a good candidate.

You will receive lidocaine injections for numbing, and (presumably) receive antibiotics after treatment. In rare occasions a sedative may be administered if you are still very uneasy (akin to what Dentists offer to calm patients), of course with your consent.

If you're relatively healthy I suspect you'll be just fine - these non-surgical procedures are outpatient and typically don't interfere with the vast physiological functions of the body.

Thanks for this reply. I guess im mostly just nervous and worried about the what ifs.
Could anyone say if 4 to 5 days is enough to go back to regular working and life? I keep seeing things about wearable devices and things that im afraid wont work well in a pair of jeans.

In theory you could get back to work the following day, it just wouldn't be advisable because of all the healing & massaging protocols. For most people I'd imagine 4 to 5 days is more than adequate, some in as little as 3 days and at most a week. Sure there are outliers but since you're healthy I believe you'll be just fine.
